Did you think the game buying season ended with Smash Bros? Nope, sillies! These came out today:
One will be good for those competitive types who like to dominate score-boards, the other is SO well done it took me completely by surprise! Persona Q is Persona through and through! The characters are as they were in their main games. The game itself is as stylized as ever. The music is as fantastic as always. You can start off by either choosing to be Persona 3 characters or P4 characters, but they DO meet and interact regardless! The spells and attacks will be immediately familar but, be forewarned... This game is ALSO like Etrian Odyssey, meaning you will eventually make your own maps on the touch-screen and it will be as HARD. AS. HELL! This --ALSO-- means it will last for hundreds of hours if you want it to! This game comes out at the perfect time as it will last throughout the winter if you want it to and you can take it with you wherever you go, so if you have holidays and family gatherings to attend, you'll have something to occupy your time for as long as you like!
Today was a GREAT release day, indeed!

I reached Lv 30 on WoW yesterday. Fun times. I probably wouldn't be able to say why I find it so engrossing. I'm far from an MMO expert, the only ones I've tried have been for only a handful of hours, if that. LOTRO and TOR were the ones where I thought I could maybe spend more time but in the end it didn't happen for whatever reason.
If I had to pick one reason, I guess it would be the breadth of content in the game, and the way said content is delivered. You can go about your business questing solo and you'd have fun with that until you reach level cap, discovering new areas of the game as your level gets higher and you move on with your main questline. Tired of questing? Try leveling up one of your two professions, or the secondary ones, like fishing. Tired of that? Go out Ash style in WoW-styled pokemon capturing and leveling up an insane amount of pets that go from cockroaches and rats to outrageous rarities. Don't feel like pokemon-ing? Jump into the random dungeon selector to kill shit and tougher bosses with a random party in order to get much better loot than what the solo quests can give you.
And I'm not even touching the high-level content such as heroics and raids and endgame stuff because I haven't reached that part.

Fucking great, what to do when your spring loaded sd slot somehow, somewhere has ejected your SD card the size of your fingernail? 30 gigs of porn wandering somewhere in someones house.
It's really hard to pop a card out so I have no flipping idea how or when it happened but it's gone. If you have a spring loaded sd slot I suggest you put a bit of masking tape over it

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that Nintendo's Thanksgiving sales won't apply to Europe? I've been wanting to get LM for the 3DS, but I won't be paying full price for it, and first party stuff like that NEVER gets discounted.
I went to the UFO museum in Roswell, they had a ton of newspapers and written statements from those involved. Some cool stuff but its mostly just clippings, obviously since there is zero physical evidence. Something clearly happened then but I still highly doubt it was an alien.
Oh and I was in such a small town in the middle of nowhere I actually saw a tumbleweed rool past me! My life is now complete.

So what is everyone's view on Sony doubling down on it's PlayStation brand?
Personally I feel that this was bound to happen sooner or later. PS is one of the few electronics branches within Sony that hasn't been posting losses over prolonged periods. On the other hand, I seem to remember the R&D for the PS3 making some big dents in it's profits way back as well. So while this may seem like a good decision in the short term, it's never wise to place all your eggs in one basket and I hope this doesn't burn them in the long run.
