You can re-size Metro (universal) apps, they brought back the full start menu including search. The full screen windows 8 interface is gone, now just a part of the start menu and a unified ap store.
EDIT: Now that I have it installed and changed a few settings it's pretty good. They have added My Computer back to the desktop (Now "This PC").
File Explorer and search are back on the taskbar. Better OneDrive integration.
All in all it is basically like using Wndows 8 with Classic Shell and makes the small parts of the Metro interface (which Classic Shell hides) relevant where needed. It's less two operating systems in one and more like Windows 7++
Eh. I'm content with Win8.1 as is. I don't feel like jeopardizing the stability of my PC's I use mainly for work to be part of a Beta for Win10. I have enough trouble with their OS's without partaking in Beta programs.
I mainly use the Metro apps for stuff running in the background while I work (music, photograps, ...) and I like how I can switch between them and my desktop easily. Stuff like 'My computer' shortcuts I added to my desktop on day one. The only real benefit I see is a unified store, but as someone who spends as little money as possible on small apps, it won't have much effect on how I use my phone, Pro or desktop.
Biggest feature seems to be the OS automatically scaling depending on what device you are on. If done right this could really make the OS shine. In 8.1 you basically have to chose wether to use the Metro UI or classic desktop view yourself. Then again, what with devices that sit the fence like their own Surface Pro line of products?
I'll buy it at a HIGH price, and platinum the shit out of it.
Man, the memories. I hope the PS3 version doesn't lag too far behind that footage. And I'll platinum the shit out of it too. I hope it has one and isn't a piece of shit like RE4. (Trophy-wise! RE4 is still awesome!) I can see it now, trophies for beating it in under 5 and 3 hours like I did back in the day to unlock the unlimited pistol and rocket launcher and unlocking the altenate costumes. (If I remember right, Chris was snowboarder and CVX outfit, Jill was Sarah Connor and RE3 outfit.)
I had a chance to buy the Wii version a while ago, but I didn't 'cause it wasn't in the original case, just some crummy store case with a printed label. Kinda wish I had, in hindsight. My GC still works but looks terrible on my main TV. Maybe I should haul my old 27" out and hook it up.

The only thing that's really different about the Wii versions of REmake and Zero is that they come on one disc instead of two, so there's no disc swap to pull you out of the experience halfway through. I had those, traded them in, then ended up buying the Gamecube versions off ebay again. Why do I do that to myself?

There was dust to dust off my Upad, stoopid updates to contend with, and legal documents to read and agree to, which I most certainly do NOT agree with, but I have to since I alreay paid a ridiculous price for this damned thing, and NIntendo knows it. They gots us all by the balls!
I am in two NDAed betas. One is from a game that is probably meh, the other one of the biggest upcoming games of the year!
