I own a $200 3DS XL, but soon new 3DS games won't even work with it? WTF? Stupid shit like this really makes me not want to support Nintendo.
I'm using my Wii U to post here so when I don't play games on the Wii U I'm posting online.

I doubt many games will not work on the 'regular' 3DS models. Really, what developer will want to exclude 90% of the market? Nintendo's willingness to release revised hardware so often, to the point where not everyone will be able to enjoy the same games, is really getting ridiculous. I dare say they're reaching Sega like levels of hardware boneheadedness. They should just respect the 'normal' lifecycle for consoles and refrain from tampering with it halfway through.
I can't see what I'm writing, so bear with me. Just finished Diablo 3 PS4....so awesome. My demon hunter finished at Level 58 through the entire thing, including the expansion. Will go back of course to play more, but for now I move on.
To everyone complaining about not being able to see what you're typing: just set the font colour to black and change it back to white before posting. Not the most elegant solution, but it works :/

The only way this doesnt hurt everyone is if the new 3ds only supports wii ports or crappy games. But of course the next Zelda, probably Zelda MM remix will be new 3ds exclusive. Watch.

It seems Nintendo is hell bent on destroying their own business by screwing over their core fans--the only ones they have left! Soon they will announce a new Wii U with an HD Upad, and slighter better CPU/GPU that will be required to play the next Metroid.

Shouldn't be surprised as these are the same people that buy whatever new cosmetic upgrade hits, admittiedly I did so this gen with the XL (the 3DS screen was really tiny, come on). I am usually a one buy guy, I buy it once and stick to it until its dead. This just seems like such a mess of an idea to me, the names are confusing already, just wait for this crap to hit.
Whatever, soon there will be some good 3DS trade in programs and I am going to get suckered into buying this crap cause of zelda, or Metroid.

I'm not going to trade in either my 3DS or 3DS XL but I want the new 3DS XL.
It is basically the Gameboy Color and DSi all over again some games are exclusive but many games will work on both with some upgrades for the newer model.

Well, I now have The Sims 4 pre-ordered and pre-loaded from Origin (game is locked until Monday 10PM). Anyway, I've been playing around with The Sim 4 Create-a-Sim demo, and this will be my first family to torture. Moohahahahaha!
