I think they did it just so they can port Wii games to it easier, and as a quick cash grab.
Seems like everyone on gaf is convinced that this is a DSi situation and there won't ever be a major exclusive on it. If it's just wii ports then I don't mind. The second there is a major Zelda or Mario exclusive I will be pissed (and go on gaf and quote a bunch of people to say I told you so)

More Nintendo confusion, this ultimate NES remix for the 3ds. You can read the press release and no one can tell if it is new content, a collection? Why is it $30. There is one coming to wii u which sounds like a collection of both, maybe.

Okay. If you click on your user name, then there is an option to "change Skin" and you can change to the light theme. Then you can type.
They can;t port Wii games to the Wii U (properly) so I don;t see that happening (whne you add the lack of wii mote).
They did it with DKCR and now Xenoblade. Most Wii games used the Wii-mote for pointing and waggle. Waggle is an easy button press; touchscreen and gyro for pointing/tilt.

This is a horrible idea. Why not just make an entire new system instead of yet another 3ds?
And why not finally change the face button order so the letters don't seem backwards? I hate that....can never get used to it.
