The other notable omission is in the cast of characters’ diversity. After 30 years there are still zero Mario characters of color, a problem that Mario Kart 8 highlights by lining up all the characters on a single screen. When it comes to human characters, Mario Kart 8 is overwhelmingly white. Of the 29 drivers, 14 are human (including Toad and Toadette), and every single one of them is white. While it’d be atypical of Nintendo to introduce new characters into a Mario Kart game, it’s also where the deficit is the most obvious, and during play I found myself disappointed that Nintendo’s stable of characters so painfully fails to reflect the diversity of its audience.

I like how Link's blade is based on the Master Sword design.  I do not like how destroyed structures defy the laws of construction and physics:

Everything other then the character models is also very low-poly, but I understand this is always the case in DW games?

I plan on getting it just because it is Zelda and I want to see how it ties into the story.

Who cares about the general story arc in Zelda games?  I could see someone being intrigued by how the story in this cross over game will unfold, but how it fits into the greater Zelda universe?

I just find it hilarious that they are accusing a bunch of Japanese guys of having too many white characters.....JAPANESE GUYS! Would it be an issue if all the characters looked Asian? Or would this suddenly not be an issue because AT LEAST THEY'RE NOT WHITE?

Society is strange these days in some places, in how some people like whoever wrote this crap, seem to act like its almost bad to be "white", or "white" is evil, etc.
