I would say yes! It captured the fast play, movement and style of the original game pretty well, down to modern recreations of classic enemies...

That would almost be enough for me, but they also made it a Metroid-Vania style of game on top of it all! You get slide manuevers to break small grates to pass through. You get a downward strike to break through certain floors. You get an Option companion to fly you to certain areas and objects in the game that can also attack groups of enemies once it is charged.

I didn't think Double Helix had it in them, but they did a fine job on it!

Outcome: Prolly not! ...but all three of them are worthy of the |OT| treatment, I am stuck at home with my bum-shoulder STILL, so I am bored --AND-- any and all of them are the types of games that --WILL-- be favorites around here, most likely, and will be discussed more in depth, if not now, certainly as more people play 'em! So, why the hell not?!

The third one was a shite Metroid Prime. After that I have about as much interest in Retro making another Metroid Prime as Retro themselves do.

HOLY CRAP!! I just realized it is now 12:22AM and I pretty much spent most of today writing, posting, re-reading and editing my two |OT| in the Gaming Discussion forum! I think I started the Donkey Kong thread in the early morning. I am still tinkering with the Bravely Default topic late into the night!
