The dark souls crew grows stronger!
I went through the hollow and ash lake, also cleared New Londo. 4 kings gave me a bit more trouble than I thought. Queelag's Furysword +5 did wonders.
Thanks.
PS4 in launch window (it's been pre-ordered). No XB1, I'll probbaly pull a Vader and get one late into the generation once MS's policies are firmed up and I can see if there are any games I want for the platform.
Have you done the DLC?
People were worried Troy Baker was playing The Joker in the new Arkham City game...
Still worried?
Nope. DLC is the main reason I did this playthrough.
Same here. Wow this game is hard as balls. But it is so amazing.
Almost time for the DS2 beta!
Crystal cave right now. I forgot how much I hated those invisible paths.
Yeah apparently most of the DLC bosses (there are 4) are supposed to pick up where O&S left, in terms of difficulty.
Steel, please recommend me a Shield.
I still haven't even attempted to climb that staircase with the bastard javelin throwing demons. I will go back down Sen's Fortress to the smith to try and upgrade a long bow.
Also how do I make a fire weapon? Can that smith there do it for me or do I need to reach the giant smith in Anor Londo?

I've done many hours of prep work for Anor Londo and especially Smough and Ornstein.
I have ascended pyro flame + 5 (won't go any higher) and I bought all the pyromancies available from the three pyro NPCs. I also gifted about 7-8 humanity to the Pus queen to move up on the covenant so I get those pyromancy scrawls as well.
Upgraded my katanas and long bow to +10 and I have 40 DEX and about 30 or more for each of VIT and END.
I'm pretty proud of myself so far. Walking from Aramis all the way to the depths of Blighttown (via Sen's fortress) to find Queelana, carrying (and risking losing) 250000 + souls and about 8-9 humanity was really nerve-racking but I made it intact. Hopefully all this will pay off.

^Is that Dark Souls or Demon Souls?
Dark. Demon's Souls was easier to cheese the really hard bits with a mage. You could poison cloud some really tough bosses and just go make a cup of tea until they died. Or soul-arrow them from so far away they didn't even know you were there until they were dead

What's with all of these Dick Souls conversations in here? Move to an OT motherfuckers!
Why are you strolling around with so many souls/humanity?
That's like walking through a really bad neighborhood in a really bad city while counting all of yur money in a flamboyant way. Spend that shit as soon as you have enough for whatever you're eyeing.
About the shield, I haven't tried much of them. I have used grass crest shield in both playthroughs because of the stamina regeneration, but blood shield or iron round shield should be good alternatives for you if you're planning to power through the dragonslayer bow silver knights in anor londo.
I think you're going to do alright. Remember that ornstein is weak to fire.

Like I said, I was farming in Aramis (seemed the easiest most efficient and least annoying) and I needed to go all the to Queelana to ascend and upgrade my flame and to buy all the pyromancies. There was no other way to do it, I had to walk through the valley of death with souls and humanity in hand.
The worst was dying at the bottom of Sen's fortress (I was knocked off the path by the serpent cunt soon as I exited the cage elevator) ... and having to make my own way down again (the lift stays down if you die) going past every serpent cunt and every narrow path with those swinging pendulum blades. Talk about intense. But I made it and I put every one of those 250K souls to good use.
I'm still nervous about walking through that fog. I cleared every room and opened all the paths without dying once and got to the giant blacksmith and upgraded uchi and bow to lighting. I cleared the sentinels outside the boss a few times but still can't walk in. I'm so badly traumatised from this from last time.
