I have been playing:
1701 A.D. Been chipping away at the scenarios. I just reached one where I have to pry out of an aztec priest the location of some hidden treasure. Thing is, the aztecs have FUCKING MOAI HEADS?! Bahaha. At any rate the game's quite fun and pretty good looking considering the time it has passed.
Monster Hunter 3 Only started it, killed a couple creatures and marveled at how my guy starts out his adventure stripped down to his underwear. I also have a cat butler!
Viva Pinata Spent a good time with this one once again. Just chilling out and trying to get all the pinatas I didn't get back then.
If Rob's place took contributions I might attempt to write a VP one. It's a great game to play alongside your kids.
I still maintain Rare's best game was, is and will be Viva Pinata. Everything else can go suck a bag of dicks.
Not playing too much at the moment. Going back and getting the extra Lumes in Rayman Legends, but that's about it. I got a copy of Kingdom Hearts 1.5 sitting here, but I can't quite gear myself up to play it.
Hello guest writer! If you're familiar with Word Press I can give you your own login
I'm actually about to start writing some "retro-reviews" because aside from a rented copy of Kingdom Hearts, which I don't even want to play, I'm not going to have anything new to cover for a couple weeks. So I think A Boy and His Blob will be my next review.
And I am actually looking to add anyone else who wants to write. I'm trying to get a friend of mine who plays games with her daughter a lot to write a review or two, and then maybe start profiling the reviews and what age kids they have, stuff like that. That also brought up an awkward moment for me tonight when I realized I was trying to get my female friends drunk in order to get them to write game reviews..... ahhhh how times have changed.
It's no Killzone 2, but boy does the Helghast assault rifle feel good.
Force fed activities.
Picked the ending at the very beginning. Durr.
Of course you can. You're a man so you can do what you want.
Today's Surface 2 reveal day! Happy Microsoft-day!
Honnestly, I'm more pumped for this then I was for the announcements of PS4/Xbone. If the rumours are true, the Surface Pro 2 will probably end up replacing my current laptop. Can't wait to one-up all those snobby Apple lovers
AlphaOmega rant about Capcom only having 150 million in the bank.

I'll tell you what...its really not surprising to me in the least that they are struggling. I'm more surprised its taken them this long to show it.
After Resident Evil 4 released, Capcom started a very fast decline. Most of their top talent left after that game or shortly after and they haven't been the same since. Misuse of key franchises, completely forgetting about others (am I the only person who wanted a new Dino Crisis with RE4 style gameplay???) and just generally not knowing what the fuck to do with the direction anything should go in. He talks about them outsourcing Devil May Cry. Why do they have to outsource so many games nowadays? Because the creators are gone!
I would love to see Nintendo buy Capcom just to get control of the franchises...maybe then they could get Mikami working on Resident Evil again.
Nintendo get rid of
Retrodeadwood companies, not buy them.Guess who just bought Halo 4 and Sleeping Dogs?
Seriously my plan to delay the big game purchases has paid off massively, I'm picking up 360 blockbusters at one quarter of the new price and I get to check the discs to make sure they are perfect too. What else do I need? Dishonoured?
Anything else guys?
They are worth buying for the franchises alone. I have little doubt Nintendo could get them in the right direction. Apparently Nintendo was in the running for Atlus as well.
Oh....and Lost Odyssey!
Maybe those. I was going to get Tomb Raider but the price is not low enough. I saw Witcher 2 right there in front on me and immediately Dvader and Archies' hate for the game popped into my head so I bailed
I also was tempted by Max Payne 3 but you guys put me off that too.
Infinity Ward's exec producer worries for smaller studios
Call Of Duty: Ghosts' executive producer has highlighted the rising costs and increasing difficulty presented by the AAA market for developers, and even for Infinity Ward.
"It's a scary thing, and I'll take my Call Of Duty hat off for a minute here, but games are becoming harder to make, more expensive to make," Mark Rubin said in a video interview with GameInformer.
"I feel like smaller studios are having trouble - I can't speak for them but I would think - are having trouble making games that fill the big AAA market because they're harder to do. It is kind of a bummer that games are getting so hard and difficult to make."
"People want better and better graphics, they want more realistic looking art assets and that comes at a cost and that's a hard thing to have to deal with."
He added that it "bothered" him to think that games were trying to chase Call Of Duty's success, using the example that he loved MMOs, but wouldn't want to make a World Of Warcraft clone.
During the interview Rubin, who has been executive producer at the studio since August 200, also spoke about some of the challenges about developing for current and next-generation platforms at the same time. The game is due for release on both PlayStation consoles, both Xbox consoles and PC later this year, and Treyarch is developing a version for Wii U.
Don't listen to Vader or Archie. Never listen to Vader or Archie.
Why no Xcom or Riddick? Mass Effect?
I think you'd enjoy Lost Odyssey if you liked some of the Wii RPG's....I need reasons why you say no motherfucker!!!!
I'm only really up for shorter action led games of around 10-15 hours. Mass Effect I played the first and I'm not up for completing the whole trilogy just seems like too much work, XCom I'm just not interested in at all, I played the original waaaaay back and loved it but the new one just doesn't appeal to me. Not sure why. Riddick, not really interested. The original was great for the time but not compared to modern day efforts and I'm not that attached to the franchise.
Fixed that! Oh and the same goes for your Edgey. Finish it!
Oh yeah, holy crap has Hitman Absolution failed? Used copies were practically being given away.
I was tempted by RDRedemption but I don't like western settings. I played the original game and it was decent but I'm not sure I would take to a new western setting
