House is a legendary role, multiple emmy wins, he will forever be known for that. It is by far his biggest role and he should absolutely be proud of it.

Shows*. House is way down on the list. And he was co-lead in one of the best with Stephen Fry. His name was even in the show's title. Also, not only was he co-lead, but co-writer as well.

Well ok, but as an actor what do you think he is more proud of, his comedy roles or his multiple award winning dramatic role?
Why would I care about his opinion? He's proud of his awful blues music; clearly his opinion is worth little.
The opposite of that is also true, and happens all the time.
Personally, I don't think he's particularly great in House. The show (and his performance) rely on the crutch of obnoxious, condescending brit and rarely goes deeper than that. There's an unbearable amount of filler. He does a lot with very little at times, though. I'll give him that.
