This is what I thought they'd do before they announced the 3DS. Having all of their devs making games for a single platform that can be played both at home and on the go would be an epic win for Nintendo and consumers.
I haven't seen any basics in my local stores in weeks.
I don't see nintendo converging to one system. It'd be too expensive a system to sell it to parents for the little ones. Battery life would limit the hardware even more. Nintendo have talked about their systems as 'pillars' before. They'd only be selling half as many games in their core franchises. How would multiplayer work?
Same here. GameStop won't even stock them anymore.
What is there worth playing? That's a serious question.
I've got a bunch free with Plus like Uncharted, Wipeout 2048, Gravity Rush, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Metal Slug XX, Pac-man CE, Virtue's Last Reward (I lost my 3DS copy), Pinball Arcde, Plants Vs Zombies, and Final Fantasy Tactics, all of which look like they'd be a lot fun to play. Not to mention all of the downloadable PSP and PS1 games, and PS4 connectivity might be nice. Dammit, I'm talking myself into it.
There's also a new Killzone coming to Vita.
Does PS Plus program give you games to keep? I know it wasn't like that originally, but its' been a long time since I've used it and I wasn't sure if the program had changed.
I have it, its a beautiful system but the games are simply not there. Even the best stuff like Uncharted and Gravity Rush are ok at best. There is a bunch of RPGs so that my push you. And yes Plus is amazing so you dont have to pay money to get a good solid library. That said dont expect great different kind of gaming experiences on the Vita, most of it is just PS3 in your hands and slighlty worse versions of them.
3DS is the handheld to have if you like playing new games for portables but if your goal is to have a portable console then Vita is pretty cool.
If you buy a game on a Plus sale for any amount of money, it's yours to keep without a Plus membership. However, all free games become disabled if your Plus account is ever deactivated.
Keep as long as you subscribe. And seeing how Plus is now mandatory for online gaming most will keep it for the entire PS4 lifetime.
Ehhh that's what I thought. Screw it. PS3 only works when it wants to these days anyway.
Do you guys know of any reliable and safe sites to download gamecube and wii iso files? I want to try Dolphin out but my DVD drive is not one of the select few that will read Wii and GC discs, and I can't be assed to install homebrew stuff on Wii since it's a borrowed one (my actual Wii got its graphics card fried during an electric storm). Downloading the isos from the games I own would be the easiest and fastest way to check Dolphin out.
Sounds like he just wants to try the Dolphin emulator, GG.
I've never downloaded ISOs. No idea where to begin on getting those, Steel.
Raven is right. I have a working Wii, but I don't want to ass around with the homebrew stuff, which is the only way to get Dolphin games to work in absence of a special kind of DVD drive. I want to play the games I own on Dolphin, not on Wii itself.
I don't know of any reputatable websites for you Steel, but you can try using a bit torrent and piratebay. You might have a tough time finding a decent number of seeders for any of the older or harder to find games, but I'm sure you could get a few that way.
By the way, how damned good does it feel to play an old favorite game? I bought Harvest Moon (SNES) on the VC today, and I just got lost in it for a couple hours. God this brings back memories and fortunately it's still a lot of fun. I remember thinking about just how much depth was in this game, but really its amazing just how simplistic this series was at first. I honestly wonder if all the changes have been for the better. And now I want to get Hometown Story dammit...
Speaking of which...
