That's not actually going to be a problem.  The nomenclature of "Recommended 1.5Mbps or higher Internet connection" comes from the US where Internet speeds basically go from 56K->256K->1.5M->3M->7M and so on.  Basically 1.5M has been the lower-floor for "broadband", and saying that's the recommended minimum speed just means you should have DSL/Cable and not dial-up or ISDN.

It's not this issue in particular that is a 'conspiracy' against Nintendo, but it's an example of why third parties are against Nintendo.

Third parties do their best business when the dominant platforms are 3rd party dominated. Fairly simple, but what this means is they will, from a business perspective, want platforms THEY control to some extent. EA wants the main platform to be the one they are the big player on. They can (combined with Activision etc) control the message of the console that way. They basically stronarmed Sega to run the Mega Drive/Genesis the way they wanted. Statistically the PS2 was the Square/GTA/EA box, not the Ico/Jak box.

They would love a 3rd party Nintendo, because all Nintendo would then do is help sell platforms EA/Activision control. As a 1st party, Nintendo boxes are a liability, 'sucking away' a chunk of the industry to a place they cannot control.

Why else did Microsoft get up in the industry at all? A 4 billion dollar massive failure followed by the biggest failed hardware scandal in consumer electronics history, and yet they basically instantly got ongoing massive 3rd party support for both machines. It's because they bent over for EA etc.

If EA, Activision, Ubisoft etc have such a strong vision, they should have the balls to create their own console, rather than back-seat drive Sony and Microsoft. But their vision for the industry is to bully their way ahead with the least risk possible, they let others take the risks for them. Luckily for them there are now two international multimedia conglomerates willing to take these risks on their behalf for the chance at being the centre of a fantasy living room control unit.

I just beat Resident Evil Revelations.

Its a quality game and a step in the right direction, but Capcom still has a long way to go to match the greatness of the classics. Its better than Resident Evil 6, but not Resident Evil 5 or certainly any before that. The only palce I would say it has RE5 beat is in the "horror" area...and even then, its not even close to the older games in that regard.

Production values were solid, especially for a 3DS port.

Outside of the horror element, another thing I'd like to see Capcom improve on is the feeling of character and weapon progression. The last few RE games have not given me the feeling that the older games did in terms of feeling like you are getting ever so slightly stronger as the game moves on. In Revelations, even though you do gain new weapons and enhancements as you go, you never feel as though they're really making much of a difference. Its not like in Remake or something where you're like "Oh fuck yeah, the grenade launcher! Now I can fuck shit up!" Or "Ooooh the shotgun, this is going to allow me to get through those tough areas so much easier"...I don't feel that way in this one, or Resident Evil 6.

The story was also very goofy, but fuck it...its a handheld offshoot basically right?

So I'd score it an 8 out of 10. Nice effort...keep going and maybe you can get back to the level you were at in 2004.

Congrats for your team sweeping my favorite team; I think I will be rooting for Bruins to win the cup now that my team is eliminated since I would feel better if we lost to the champions than to somebody that gets eliminated.

Sorry man, I know what its like to have your team go down..its not fun.

I can't believe they were able to keep them off the scoreboard to that extent and to win in 4...was not expecting that at all regardless of how hot the B's are.

I'm hoping for a Bruins vs Blackhawks Cup final...similar teams, similar cities. Would be fun.
