Leo apparently Level-5 released a 3DS eshop title I had never even heard of until now. Something called The Starship Damrey. It got mostly rubish reviews but I trust your opinion more than any professional reviewer's and this is the sort of thing which wouldn't slip past you if it was any good. Have you tried it?

Sorry, no, I haven't tried it. I did play Crimson Shroud and Liberation Maiden from the first Guild game in the series. They were fun, but short and fairly high quality. Keep in mind, these games ARE NOT made by Level 5; Level 5 just recruited a few different Japanese devs for the smaller projects on these experimental game collections. I didn't try Damrey because I don't know the devs and the reviews have not been kind.
Same goes with Swords and Soldiers for the 3DS, btw... Horrible port, framerate problems and missing features, from what I hear. The Wii and DS versions are supposedly much better.
Thanks. That's useful to know. It's actually a pretty clever idea to fund young talent toward smaller/indie/downloadable projects as a showcase and also to give them exposure and allow them to hone their skills or even make a name for themselves (if they make a hit) before using them with the bigger teams in the bigger projects. Something like the youth teams in football.
I bought Swords and Soldiers on Wii and while I thought it looked nice and had decent production values it failed to keep me interested past the first 5-6 levels. Don't think I'll be buying it a second time

BTW: Was this for the Mamorukun story, the Dark Souls 2 story... or both?
Edit: I now officially declare this "Bugsie Day" at The VG Press!
For Morrocamuchasgraciaswhateva!!
They're now saying DS2 maybe PS4 now the release date has been pushed all the way to next year. In which case it will be no fun for Bugs ... Who incidentally still needs to finish the previous game.
I'm feeling kind of overwhelmed at present. I've been working really hard all week (in fact on the whole I feel I've been working really hard since January), culminating in working all day Friday and Saturday (until 1am on both occasions). I finished all my current tasks after about three hours of work this morning and since then I've been wanting to play something but I'm somehow too fidgety still (hard to explain - but a lot to do with mental, emotional and physical fatigue building up) I want to play Luigi's Mansion 2 and finish it, I want to start Fire Emblem, I want to buy and play HarmoKnight and the Zelda Oracles on eShop ... and I also want to set up the U and try out LEGO and Mario U. I'm so indecisive I will likely play nothing and just sit at the computer

Heh! I know the feeling EXACTLY!!
Warning on HarmoKnight though. Bought it, played it, didn't really enjoy it. For some reason, the buttons on the 3DS just don't seem to be resposive enough for a rhythm game of its type. It's not BAD, but try a demo first if you are able!
If you look really, really closely at the sign for Dark Souls 2 it has the PS3 logo on it!
...
That's good. While that's not a guarantee I guess I'd settle for that at this point!
I read comments by people thinking the timing felt "a bit off". And it's true, the 3DS face buttons are a little too stiff/sticky. Good call on the demo, that should help me make a more educated decision. It's rather expensive for a downloadable game, though apparently it's got a good amount of content.

So it is taking place during E3; I don't know which developers would show up because they will be at E3.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Fairly sure Marketing and PR departments employ more than one person. I think they can manage to have peope at both events!
I downloaded the Giana Sisters: Twisted Dream demo from Steam today:
It looks and plays great. It has a gameplay mix of Super Mario, Sonic, and Rayman Origins, with a NiGHTs Into Dreams-ish graphics style. Unfortunately, my PC can't run it faster than 12 FPS on the lowests settings, or I'd buy it today. It's also available for Xbox 360, but the PS3 and WiiU version aren't available yet.
First BioShock-free weekend in a looong time. Since everyone else seems to have played it and gave it favorable reviews, I have been playing this:

What about you, Liúmáng?
OMG! You played a game!
Technically it's not really "playing a game" if said game runs less than 12 FPS on my PC.
I did play Wolfenstein 3D (PSN) for a couple hours the other day.
Don't know why but Giana Sisters reminded me of Pandemonium for the PSOne for some reason...
I forgot all about Pandemonium. I had the Saturn version back in the day.
I won't be in London at that time buddy. In fact I don't think I'll be in London in a while if I can help it
