...about?
Jesus Christ that MS guy is a diiiiiiiiiick.
I had a terrible night, I think I'm working towards incontinence. I farted several times last night and poop came out. I managed to clench so there was no collateral damage, but shiiiiiiiit. Is this my future?
Yes, shiiiit is future.
This movie is da bomb.

Yeah I mean wuuuuuuuuuuuuut? Bought two MS consoles, looking at buying a 3rd and they start doing this nonsense? Sony, price PS4 reasonably and have backwards compat please.
Update: Pennywise also discovered a pretty distinct developer leaving a highly implicit post on the matter:
"Given that legally I cannot confirm or deny if this information is true, nor can I comment on rumor or speculation, all I can say is be sure to pay your ISP bills

Not in a great mood lately. Something major is coming my way that is going to change quite a bit in my life and I'm not looking forward to it. Not going to go into details but gaming wise I've been playing incredibly sporadically because of it. Lots of DL games, a handful of IoS games. Not much disc based at all. I don't think I am conciously avoiding BioShock, but maybe... who knows. Here's a few brief impressions of what I have been playing:
Terraria: Minecraft + Castlevania + Dark Souls + Final Fantasy sprites = One of the most addicting games of all time. Everything I was looking for in the 16-bit age that wouldn't have been possible back then.
Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien: Kinda like Pitfall meets Rhythm Heaven Fever. It is sooo strange hearing Charles Martinet do ANYTHING but Mario, but he narrates the game. Awesome Wii U game!
Toki Tori 2: Another Wii U game! Released just AFTER the launch window! Imagine that! Intriguing puzzle platformer meets HD (almost) Rayman quality graphics. Cute and wholly worthwhile!
Alien Hive: IoS match three puzzler where you evolve aliens. Not time based, you only have a set number of energy to make moves. One of those Free, but Pay for upgrades you can eventually earn in game, Games. Not sure it's possible without paying for content.
10000000: Another IoS game. Remind me to punch Rags in the gut for introducing this game to me. Utterly addicting. Another match 3 game, but the items you match are used by the tiny adventurer at the top of the screen to fight dragons, monsters, etc. Collect wood and stone for upgrading your home base. Survive as long as you are able. Achieve a High Score of 10000000 to earn your 'Freedom.' Don't play it if you become easily obsessed!
Battle Block Theater: From Behemoth games (Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid): Multiplayer (or Solo) platformer kinda in the same vein as Meat Boy. One of the FUNNIEST games EVER made!! Download the demo and try it out!!
Sorry to hear that, Leo. I hope your situation takes a turn for the better soon.
I'm sitting here in the hospital today, playing Luigi's Mansion 2 to kill the time. The wife has just been induced.
Good luck to the both of you. Do you know the sex?
Ahhhhh the miracle of life. Such a beautiful thing. Oh and I hope the hospital has decent food.
Reading the UE4 PS4 vs PC Digital Foundry
Like I was trying to tell you before, Epic makes these tech demos on very expensive PC's that are even more powerful than next gen. And then these engines are essentially scaled back to consoles, sort of like how UE3 could run at 1080p 60FPS on good PCs but at 30 and 720p or sub-HD resolution on current gen. The infiltrator demo ran on 16gb of RAM and the GTX 680 is like 2-3 times more powerful than PS4?
There's a good screenshot tool in the article where you can see close up the differences.
Still looks great, but I don't rate the engine, I prefer Luminous, Cryengine 3 etc. I don't think UE4 is that impressive compared to how UE3 was back in the day.

In the same way that deferred rendering acts as a foundation for linear-space lighting, linear-space lighting in turn forms the support structure for the third and final strand of the FOX Engine's push toward photo-realism, which Kojima Productions has termed "physically-based rendering". While this may sound like heavyweight graphical terminology, all it means is rendering textures, models and materials using as much real-world data as is physically possible.
Don't let the simple explanation fool you, however. The practical implementation of this method of rendering involves a huge amount of work. Kojima Productions is taking the 'photo' aspect of photo-realism very seriously. Wherever possible the development team is using 3D photo capture, laser capture and motion capture to create assets that are as detailed and realistic as possible. In-game objects are photographed in real life from a wide range of angles, and then those photographs are compiled into a 3D model using a program called Photoscan.
I refer you to everything that has been said about the game by just about everyone else that has played it since release.
Basically its all over the fuckin' place and everything feels just a LIIITLE bit off. There will be a cool part, followed by a long crappy part, followed by a cool part, etc. And the game really feels like it was made by 10 different developers.
The new Xbox sounds less appealing every time I hear about it....especially when you have to listen to the arrogant assholes that work for Microsoft.
Congrats!
Terraria
So very happy for you, man!
