And spam dude....
All you nned to do is post a few comments other than news and we'll stop deleting your posts.
Just prove you are a real person and cool with us. Shouldn't take much.
As soon as I have the faculties to figure out when that is I will respond in the podcast thread. I am working days this week.
EDIT: should be able to do something in your afternoons (just checked the time difference).
I want to try and get this one with the other guy done, but then I might be.
EDIT: gogo Asprovadercast.
Im training someone all week, not sure how long it will take. I know I have nights off but that is all I can guarantee.
I'l make a real effort to keep in touch with the both of you early this week. Vader, if you use google chat add me as a contact, I have it on when my computer is on these days. You know my google identity from shared docs etc...
I didnt even know there was a google chat, I will check it out.
Focus on Vader this week, as I'll be focusing on doing the podcast with the other guy, though if you can join us please do. We'd probably be doing it sometime between 10PM and midnight. I'll definitely check to see if the two of you are around before we begin.
Yeah google talk. It's where all the cool people hang out.
If you had a NES Retro City Challenge is a must play. So delicious.
PC is a good way to go, DRm free if you buy direct from the publisher. He says Vita was his best selling platofmr, but it seems like it would be the least enjoyable. You need a big screen to enjoy the "lousy" 8-bit graphics.
Aspro are you still playing Castlevania? I'm curious to hear what you're making of it

Nope. I had nothing against the game other than it was not my type of game. I thought it was well done, but that it was just not my genre. If I were better disciplnied I would have stuck with it. But recently I've been pretty slack in this regard ala Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning. These days it is taking some extreme direction to get my attention (thus my love of Retro City Rampage).
Specifically I got hung up on the collosus battle for abuot 2 hours. And then I was like, "What am I doing with my life?"
I was srill sort of OK with it at that point. It got even worse later on. I'm actually of the opinion that it's a bad game, not one of the "good just not for me" variety.
I'm also sort of struggling at present to find anything to keep my interest long enough. Serious gamer identity crysis. I'm not even sure which genres I enjoy any more. I loved Ni No Kuni so I was thinking, hmm maybe now would be a time to try and play all those great jrpgs I've been hearing so many wonderful things about but never had the time for previously ... but I'm not sure it's that simple
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Probably not. But if you have the capacity to play PS2 games I'd profer Shadow Hearts. It's a shot in the arm in originality while still offering the comfort of norms. Blue Dragon is good on the 360 too, but perhaps a little too conventional for where you are right now.
Not sure if conventional would be an altogether bad thing. I think Ni No Kuni was conventional in a certain number of ways but it felt kind of heart-warming and comforting. Don't think I can deal with anything that tries to be too clever or post-modern at this particular time. Maybe Blue Dargon would be a nice one to try if I can find a copy without having to try too hard or wait to long. I have Lost Odyssey (I think that's the name) on my shelf. Is that in the same vein?
I do have my PS2 here somewhere but getting hold of Shadow Hearts would probably be expensive and time consuming as RPGs on old platforms are usually sought after and go up in price.
I tried Mass Effect last night (the first one) but I couldn't even go through the intro ... too many options right from the start - I think I need a slightly more "guided" experience at the moment. And I have been trying Eternal Sonata this morning. I put about two - two and a half hours in so far but still not feeling much immersion yet
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Forget the first Mass Effect at this time.
Not sure if Shdow Hearts would be expensive or hard to get on EBay for you, though our regions differ greatly.
I just bought Lost Odyssey, Mistwalker's other game, so I don't know how it stacks up. I do know that Steel adn I love Blue Dragon. I played it to completion. It was Dragon Quest in 3D with current development sensibilities taken into consideration. So comfort food basically.
Olds, but not old enough...EGM had sucked long before 2006.
Its an old school adventure game with amazing atmosphere and music, and a heartfelt story. These types of games generally aren't for everybody (especially these days).
I will try to get hold of a copy of Blue Dragon, sounds like I would enjoy it at this time. Even tried to start DQ5 again the other day only to discover one of shoulder buttons on my DS is stuck in and not working properly (which was another annoyance as I don't remember ever dropping it or handling it badly in any way).

The first DS Lites were pretty friggin' pathetic hardware-wise.
Yes, that's exactly what that is. A launch DSLite which I bought from the Nintendo shop in NYC in June 2006. First it was all the cracks appearing here and there, then the touch-screen became permanently decalibrated so I couldn't play any touch-screen games, now the shoulder button stayed stuck in so I can't play anything
I guess a lot of people expect to have to change/renew their hardware because of excessive use, general ware and tear ... pets and children etc but I'm personally not used to things just breaking on me because I generally treat my stuff very well.
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
My launch DSLite has a touch screen that is not calibrated, a broken hinge and a stuck in right trigger. This is with two prissy adults owning it. Unacceptable.
So far my 3DS has been solid, as well as my later gen DSLite, so hopefully that was an aberration for Nintendo.
