Game Informer is owned by GameStop, so their review scores are always inflated over the review. They generally pump up games that will sell well, have a few honest reviews for games they are passionate about then feel free to be honest on games that won't be stocked by retailers anyway.
They have tended to be biased against Nintendo, since Nintendo doesn't play the usual PR game, especially when Nintendo Power was in circulation.
They have some phenomenal editors, they have some extremely poor editors. But they do have a huge staff, something like 20 editorial staff at this point, which dwarves online outlets like Gamespot, Giantbomb, and (perhaps soon) IGN.
Fuck. I opened an Ebay account after being on the wagon for 5 years.
I've already bid on 6 things.

Hollywood is such a strange place. There are bad areas all around it, then there is the famous chinese theater and the kodac theater where the Oscars will be. They had a bunch blocked off for the oscars, I saw the red carpet and a bunch of the props for the stage. Then in front of the chinese theater its surreal, there are people in costume everywhere. There was a full Iron Man, Jack Sparrow, Mr. Incredible, Darth Vader and stormtroppers. They all ask for tips for pictures so I saw Mickey and Minnie begging for money on the street, so sad and funny. Then there are guys handing out their rap cds to everyone. Meanwhile there are tourists everywhere all looking down cause of the hand prints. I took the chinese theater tour and wow is that theater beautiful. I must see a movie there one day.
I am talking about you people talking about how the Wii chip allows it to be so much more powerful than an Xbox and it never was. I dont care what is said about the hardware, I will wait to see it to believe it. And I dont know why you guys keep trying to speak for Nintendo, you cant prove anything and I am not asking you. I am simply saying I dont expect to see graphics that much better than a 360. If I am wrong that is awesome, if I am right i never expected more. So I shall wait and see.

Seriously on this issue you are almost impossible to talk to, you have little idea or knowledge of the tech, you stick your fingers in your ears half the time and talk selectively about things. You have tunnel vision and take no account of mitigating factors, budgets, art teams, tech research, shader sets, actual specs, publisher support. Anything. You're pretty infuriating to talk to on this issue tbh. You're not interested enough to know how the cake is made, you just want to shovel as much as possible into your face. I'm done, I still love ya bro but for me it's useless to talk to someone with only a superficial interest in the subject.Vader isn't an aboriginal, there's no need to apologise.
Hell yeah, easily one of the best looking games out right now. The game itself could have used more variety..but its good.

That review is a complete and utter mess, and I wanted to stop reading at the point where it says that you parry and not dodge... when there clearly IS a useful and very well-executed dodge... but the rest of it is a car wreck you just can't look away from. Its so vague I STILL wonder if the reviewer played all (any?) of it.
