I'll stick with my real NEOGEO.  It's pretty nice though, the game selection is limited for the price they are asking.  I am cynically assuming they are surreptitiously selling this as an emulator, for which the form factor is perfect.

Just played through the first episode of Walking Dead! That was amazing.  The whole feel is great! Gameplay could have had more to it, but the story and look and music more than make up for it. I'm going to savior the rest of  this puppy.

No, you got it backwards. I said they nailed capturing the essence of BTTF but that the game was the same old point and click from the 90's where you had pixel hunt and touch every item to every item to progress.

I can see where the confusion comes from though as  I did not specify, when we talked, that Telltale nailed the spirit of BTTF through imagery, music and  voice acting, not story.  So, to go back to another topic, the dialogue was good but the story was a thinly veilled conceit just to get you to pixel hunt.

In Walking Dead they have (mostly) dispensed with the point and click tropes and gone more for a Choose Your Own Adventure visual novel style of game (not unlike 999).

Okay, I get it now. From what you've said, it still sounds more like gameplay changes affecting the story, rather than a big change in the writing and a different set of writers. For one thing it's the same writers that have worked on previous Telltale games with the exception of Garry Whitta who I don't think contributed to the initial episodes anyway...

I'm sure you know that already, though. Nyaa

It only makes it all the more intriguing, though!

Ddid anybody hear about the asteroid that was supposedly about the size of an aircraft carrier that NOBODY KNEW WAS THERE until 3 days ago that passed right by the Earth, closer than the Moon? The Mayans were almost right.

The hard parts were the best. It was the slower, simpler bits that sucked. Mario does simple excellently, Rayman not so much. But Rayman excelled in the complex parts.

Played up to brick lane flats in zombi u. What hairy monkey asshat could possibly give this game a 5/10? It's great fun, really tense and well made. Vader and Edges impressions are spot on. Really enjoyed it. That keypad bit in buckingham palace was evil! I'm getting better at stalking and picking zombies off and managing groups. Perfect launch game.

Monolithsoft talk about their wii u game: http://www.siliconera.com/2012/12/14/inspired-by-bethesda-softworks-monolith-soft-looks-forward-to-jumping-into-the-next-gen/

Monolith Soft, best known for developing the critically-acclaimed Xenoblade Chronicles, opened a new studio in Kyoto, Japan, last year, in order to be closer to their parent company, Nintendo. What exactly have they been up to since then?

After Xenoblade, Monolith Soft went on to develop Project X Zone, a crossover RPG for the Nintendo 3DS, featuring characters from Capcom, Namco Bandai and Sega. They also helped out with certain aspects of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. And finally, in September, Nintendo revealed that they’re working on a brand new Wii U game.

In a series of interviews conducted internally last year, Monolith Soft discussed their projects and aspirations. Regarding their Wii U project, they were rather tight-lipped regarding what to expect, but they did say that it will be a challenging game that will get people together, and that you can expect it to be both very flashy and addicting.

This is going to be their first jump into next gen gaming. Monolith say they thought about  it for a while, but and decided that if they were going to jump into the next generation, they’d like to have the perfect team in order to do it the right way. Working alongside Nintendo will be a huge advantage, they feel, as Monolith Soft will have a better understanding of the Wii U’s capabilities, in order to produce top notch titles for the company.

Monolith Soft’s Michihiko Inaba and executive producer, Hirohide Sugiura, had a couple of quotes to share, regarding their upcoming Wii U game.

Inaba: “I’d like to make an HD game that will wow the players. I want to show that Japan can still keep up with the USA when it comes next gen technology. Our goal is to become something like the developers of the Fallout series, Bethesda Softworks.”

Sugiura: “I believe that today’s Japanese gaming industry has lost its touch, and we’d like to do something to change that.”
