Rayman demo definitely good. Loved the Rock Castle level. That's what I've been waiting to play and that's the exact kind of gameplay that I want more of. Not sure the other levels are better than Mario though. There's definitely some innovation though, but I have to say I really don't like switching back and forth between touchscreen controls on the pad and then going back to regular controls mid-level. Stuff like that is kind of cute at first, but I know after a few times I'm going to find it more distracting than anything else. Still the music and graphics are phenomonal.
I found you can use touchscreen controls whilst still looking at the main tv screen, you have to keep the stylus pressed down and watch Murphy. Trine 2 and Balloon trip on Nintendoland allow you to do this too. I want more of this, you get the fidelity of touch screen with the good quality screen and awesome graphics.
BTW did you guys read the PSM and XBW articles I posted a couple of days back? They said the PS4 would likely cost about the same or more than the PS3 at launch. $599 + ?
I was having trouble getting into the Rayman demo.
Nobody would anser my question of do you need to have the Wii U hooked up to the TV to play the first level of the demo?
I'm asking that because I haven't had my Wii U hooked up to my TV for a week and I wanted to know if you needed the TV for some levels.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
There is no off screen play for the demo. If you are seeing the menu blocks on your u pad, the proper picture is on the HDTV alone.
Thanks I'm getting an HDTV today so I will play it on that. I only have an SDTV right now.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Dang.
Enjoy.
Welcome to 2006
Have you played Origins? Origins is better than any NSMB game. DKCR that is close.
Oh and LBP is better than all of them.
I played the Origins demo. Did not like it that much.
WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH HUMANS. Horrible mass shooting at an Elementary school in Conneticut with about 20 children killed. I don't even... my god...
No
No
You think NSMB Wii is better than Origins?
No, you got it backwards. I said they nailed capturing the essence of BTTF but that the game was the same old point and click from the 90's where you had pixel hunt and touch every item to every item to progress.
I can see where the confusion comes from though as I did not specify, when we talked, that Telltale nailed the spirit of BTTF through imagery, music and voice acting, not story. So, to go back to another topic, the dialogue was good but the story was a thinly veilled conceit just to get you to pixel hunt.
In Walking Dead they have (mostly) dispensed with the point and click tropes and gone more for a Choose Your Own Adventure visual novel style of game (not unlike 999).
I'll stick with my real NEOGEO. It's pretty nice though, the game selection is limited for the price they are asking. I am cynically assuming they are surreptitiously selling this as an emulator, for which the form factor is perfect.
For those of you on facebook (via PCGAMER):
"Hardware giant Nvidia is giving away free digital copies of Metro 2033 in exchange for hitting the “Like” button on its Facebook page. The promotion lasts until into Christmas Eve."
I only get to say that because I paid full price for Madworld.
I known NSMB Wii is a beter game that Origins.
Oh thats right you really really love NSMB Wii.
No, I just think Origins is not that good.
