I started Assassin's Creed 3 the other night. Got it on the Wii U.
Graphically and gameplay-wise, this game is not a huge revolution for the franchise at all...at least so far. Its basically a very close continuation of what they've been doing for 5 games now. Its good stuff, but its all stuff you've seen before. Just in a different setting with a not as charming main character. I do like the main guy, but he's much more plain spoken & dry than Altiar or Ezio.
The best thing about this game so far is that you can map the whole in-game HUD to the Gamepad, and have a clean TV screen a la ZombiU.
That, minor as it sounds, may be a huge advantage to me. As it is on the PS3 I'm constantly having to press select to get the map in order to set waypoints. Breaks the immersion quite a bit. Still not enough of a temptation to start thinking about investing in a U

I've been playing Super Mario World this morning. Damn, this game is still freaking awesome; it even looks great on an HDTV too. Best Mario game ever.

Just finished AC Revelations. Thinking about what to play next. Soooo many games on my shelves. Decisions decisions. If I had Uncharted 3 here I'd probably want to play that but it hasn't arrived yet
