'Freaks' and tweaks: ZombiU's winding path to launch
"One year ago, trying to make such an ambitious game, it [was] a bit stupid, I think. It has been tough. It has been a huge amount of work, but it's done."

Mass Effect 3 on Wii U features, graphical, audio issues?
" This version of ME3 seems a lot less visually stable than, say, the Xbox 360 version -- the frame rate is choppier, the animation seems rougher."

^ Everyone wanted Nintendo's online to be more like MS an Sony's. Well, they got their wish.![LOL](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
Next gen updates!
lol...5GB.
Midnight launch here, have everyone trying to download it at once, and the Wii U experience for the night will simply be the update.
From gaf on wii to wii u system transfer"
Chris Kohler's been tweeting about the process, and he has some massively shitty news. Apparently you CAN'T simply move the Wii's SD card over to the Wii U afterwards (a la 3DS). The games won't work.
Only the games already on the Wii's system memory will transfer, everything that was on the SD card has to be redownloaded on the Wii U itself. And the limit is still 512 MB, so you'll still have to use the card to store the overflow.
According to Chris.

This system is a disaster.
Well thats it every area across the North American Continent has launched the Wii U. I wonder how are boys over in Canada did?
Wow after reading that I'm a bit disappointed with how poorly this thing has been thought out. I hope it gets better.
9AM EST and still no "Reviews" of ZombiU. Not going to open it today; wait for the review and return it if it is not at least above average. So that means: One MiniGame Collection. One PS3 Port (D2) and a 1st Party Mario game for me. Wii Unce More it is!
No surprise on this. Nintendo really never understood how to do anything from the SD card. Even when they launched the patch so that you could play games on the SD game, all it really did was copy the game from the card onto the Wii's harddrive prior to playing. I'm sure this is the same problem once again rearing its head.
I have never been so UN-excited to pick up a Nintendo System in my life!
**Cold from hell probably doesn't help!**
Maybe I'll change my tune after some hands-on.
Kind of funny. Gamespot removed their Zombie U review. Isn't this the exact same pattern they did with RE6? Leak a scathing review, remove it, make people wonder if it's the real score or not, and then finally post it again?
How is that even possible with the 8gb model? I thought 4 gbs were already used for the OS?
There's 3GB available for user data, leaving approximately 5GB for firmware updates.
Same here.
Personally I can't play this game without IR after reading nearly all the reviews, one of them said the process of solving a few of the puzzles was excrutiating with dual analogue. But either way I would wait for a price cut the game sounds like they messed up on a couple of points. I was okay with the camera and shooting in the first game and even the "tedious" fetch quest nature and collecting as I spent my teen years with N64 platformers. But the AI is messed up and some of the platforms shunt you off randomly. Also the U version has some frame rate issues and we are still unsure as to whether it will have IR for player 1.
So I'm veering towards a cheap Wii 1 version.
How are you just learning of this now? There is a day 1 demo up apparently.
Is no one getting that the reviews so far have been pretty decent?
Here are my expectations:
Can you show us a scan of your balls and any abnormalities?
Wait this is amazing "And the limit is still 512 MB, so you'll still have to use the card to store the overflow. "![lol lol](/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/img/smiley-laughing.gif)
Anyhow it doesn't really matter, you just move your SD card over and redownload it straight to the SD Card like before. It's because U runs its Wii 1 emulation in Wii mode where it's like a console within a console, no one checked out that thread I linked?
EDIT: Remember that you have to move over EVERYTHING so I think I will be keeping everything on Wii 1 because I want to play VC games in SD on an SDTV and not messed up on an HDTV.
Who is the first VGpresser to have the wii U?
I dreamed I had it.
BTW guys it is a 1G install.
