About three hours in. My party is still 3 people, I just got into the hospital level.
Hell Yeah! looks amazing and from reports is a good time. Too bad it is a 2d platformer or I'd buy it.
It's filled with gaming references, looks great. One of the giantbomb guys said there are over 100 boss battles (each about 20 seconds long) and after you beat the boss there is a WareWare-type game which, if you lose, you have to beat the boss again. Love it.
Sounds like Half-Minute Hero meets WarioWare meets Retro City Rampage -- but as a 2D platformer.
EDIT: Also, the TSA has a blog. "Yet again, a passenger tried to conceal marijuana in a jar of peanut butter. Marijuana stuffed in a jar of peanut butter looks odd on the monitor. We’re not looking for marijuana, but we have to report it when we come across it. This time it was at Seattle (SEA)."
Yay! Slow bird gets worm (I am slow bird). This solves my intransigence about AC1+
$40, PS3 exclusive.
Thought they published it.
I see Aspro answered.
I may bite at this at some point too.... though I'll be a cheap bastard and still wait for it to hit $20.
I bought Deadly Premonition.
Where the hell is Rayman on that launch day list?
Hmm so Epic Mickey 2 and Scribblenauts is launch day games...
WOOOO!!!
Can't wait to hear the review on it!!!
Your reaction to it will be worth the long, long wait!!!
I can officially take down the FOE's on the 2nd and 3rd Stratum of Etrian III...!!!
...and, yes, again, this is a big deal!
Awesome.
EDF Live Action Marvelousness:
^If you only watch one part, start at 2:47
The first batch of Wii U eShop games look pretty great.
They sure do, if they can hit the HD sweet spot and work on the gamepad I'm sold!
I prefered the part with the black guy.
Just a note: I don't play co-op games all that often, so I don't know the etiquette. If I jump into a game and you prefer to play on your own, just let me know! I won't be offended in the least! I've been joining up with Travo pretty often in Borderlands 2 these days, but this applies to anyone, if I happen to join one of your games!
I don't know if anyone else experiences this or not --BUT-- when I am playing a game with a headset on I find it's kinda like talking to someone in a crowded club or bar; there's such a variety of sounds, noises and music going on around me that I have a hard time understanding when people actually speak to me! It's not even a matter of volume, I just have a hard time making out what's being said! After we beat that WarMachine, Travo, I heard you speaking, yet I couldn't make out a single word! I got the part when you said you played the first, didn't get the rest!
Would a better quality headset make a difference? I am just using the pack-in one that came with the 360...
In fact, I love how Borderlands makes it so easy to jump in and out if someone else's game. I think if someone has a problem with others joining in, then it would be best for them to just change the game settings.
Mixed emotions on Hell Yeah! and Tokyo Jungle...
The second Hell Yeah! boots up, you see the SEGA logo and hear the "SEEEE-GGGGAAAAAAH!" jingle, ripped straight from the Sonic the Hedgehog carts. That got me all warm and tingly... Then the game started... It's all tongue in cheek; you'll hear Ash the Rabbit making cracks about not needing radar, cause he's not collecting "Seven Magic Emeralds" and quips like that... The boss battles are kinda cool with the Wario Ware mini-game finishers... BUT, the music is glitchy, cutting in and out, and I don't know how "deep" the gameplay is... It actually feels kinda shallow... If they were going for a 16-bit like game, they kinda captured the simplicity of that era... The graphics are super HD and colorful though... More later, when I play some more, I guess!
Tokyo Jungle feels JUST like one of those quirky, seldom-seen Japanese-ie games... Think Tail of the Sun, EVO or Cubivore... It has a bit of stealth, a bit of action, cool concepts... even has doggy-style sex! It's certainly odd... not in a bad way, but definitely strange! Another "I'll play more and give more impressions later" kind of game!
One thing about me when I am online, it's usually kind of late. I do tend to talk quietly do to the fact that a little one is sleeping in the room next door. In fact, his bed is pushed up against a wall and my TV is on the other side. I usually have the volume on its lowest setting and discovered that video game subtitles are good friends of mine. I rarely get loud unless its a game with a fast paced death match type gameplay, then usually I have an angry wife staring me down. I do tend to laugh often while playing though.
