Same here, I need to go back to DA2, but I don't understand how much flak it got. The original is sublime, but the second one is a solid game in its own merits.
Looks less stupid than most tattoos.
Meh:
"The World Ends With You composer Takeharu Ishimoto has teased incoming news.
“Tomorrow, there will be a notice related to The World Ends With You,” said Ishimoto on Twitter.
Take in mind that, once again, Ishimoto is the game’s composer. That said, an updated soundtrack for the game, The World Ends With You: Crossover, is due to release in Japan on September 20. This could very well have something to do with that."
I forgot to say, they are only about $10.
"Steam's Daily Deal has Pendulo's The Next Big Thing for 75 percent off on PC and Mac, at just $7.50. Pendulo is a veteran of the point-and-click adventure genre, known for its dark humor and cartoonish aesthetics, recently evident in Yesterday." - Joystiq
That Conker video is nice find. I guess the devs couldn't handle cutesy-ness of the whole thing anymore.
^Yes. Thank you for pointing that out. Joystiq uses a 5 Star rating system. I have corrected the error.
The scores have been uniformly good, but when you read the reviews the general consensus is, "Yup. More Borderlands. If you liked the first you'll like the second". There are some more effusive expressions mixed in around the place, but all in all it's been a weird critical response.
I think I would agree with the assesment it's more of the same. I won't have a problem with that though, I loved the first. So it's worth the 48 bucks total I paid for it. Glad I did not pay full price, I'm hoping to get a Wii U from someone who is not happy with it after few months with like people who sold their 3DS after a shortwhile after being unhappy. I bet I can get a Wii U and few games for 300 after few months if I try.
Finally got a tough boss on Hyperdimension etc. Mainly becuase I could only use one of my characters, with a new one in support. I even had to re-do the equipment to win!
Next boss battle took out half or so of my tank's HP in their first attack. It was going to be a tough fight going by that.
They were dead before the last move of my first turn.
Wow, Svensson did something good for once.
Capcom USA Senior Vice-President, Christian Svensson:
"Bear in mind… the forecasts for AA5 I’ve put in are aggressive (high) relative to the historical performance of the franchise (needed to make sure it came over), so I’m counting on you guys to not make me a liar.”
Thanks Sven.
And he says that high sales of AA5 would help the push to get Ace Prosecutor 2 localised.
And I'm being totally serious when I say this....WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH THE GRAPHICS in RESIDENT EVIL 6?! Without even getting into how B level the gameplay is, the graphics....how do you create a new game in a series 3 years after the last one, and have it look WORSE?! Straight up; RE5 looks better than RE6.
How does this happen? The game is insanely dark, bland...and what's with the goddamn blur effect in aiming mode? Even RE4 didn't do that.
Capcom's true colors are showing here...they got somewhat of a free pass on RE5 by very closely copying RE4's framework, only they made it worse with the 2nd character. This time they had to try to "evolve" without the real RE team behind it, and it shows in all aspects. This actually reminds me of the newer Silent Hill games...TRYING desperately to find the magic of old, and failing horribly. SH and RE are once again on the same level.
The zombies are not scary at all...the game completely misses the feel and tension of the classics it is trying to duplicate. The controls are clumsy, and not in a tank control kind of way. The tank controls were tight..just in a tank like way. These controls are not. The camera is loose. And those graphics!!!??!
You have to laugh too...Capcom being all stubborn about putting this on Wii U, even though they normally put RE out on any machine that can handle it, AND they have always had ties with Nintendo. This would have been a golden launch game in name alone. Yet, the U is getting an exclusive zombie game from Ubisoft that is looking 10 times better in every way and it likely going to end up being the better horror game.
Seriously, I don't think I'm even going to pick this game up now. I can feel the disappoint already.
Did you play the 2nd demo?
"and what's with the goddamn blur effect in aiming mode? Even RE4 didn't do that. "
Yeah, what is up with this insane blurring of the character?
He keep me in mind how considerate.
Little Big Planet Vita looks amazing ! Should have mine by next week!
