Nano Assault Neo Wii U reminds of me what Mario Galaxies planetoids could look like in HD.
WTF is the Wonderful 101? Looks awesome, though.
It's P100, Kamiya game.
AH.
So that's wtf you were talking about, Vader.
Ecco the Dolphin is magnificent.
Tekken Tag looks great, may have to get that when cheap.
Wow what a Super Stardust ripoff.
Super Stardust mid-2007
Nanostray 2005
Does The Wonderful 101 remind anyone else of what a modern Earthbound game may look like?
^ Damn ok then.
Wonderful does look wonderful.
Silent Hill sucks, to put it plainly (but damn it I love the way in controls! Why arent there more Wii games like this but with good gameplay?!). I will finish it soon. Before I attempt another run is it really worth it, how different does the game get. Cause it seems to me like they just move objects from one thing in the room to another. Maybe a room or two is different.
Now Zombi U is 1080p??
I can understand if this is 1080p^
^But if it looks like this in 1080p? Whoa.
I would like to think that the first pic is the engine before improvements/effects and shaders are added, kinda like when the conduit models started out flat then popped later when shaders were added.
Silent Hill Shattered Memories: 9.5 Destructoid, 9/10 Eurogamer, 9/10 Nintendo Life
Thread, has lots of impressions.
Chase tips
1. Use your map and press A to zoom it full screen.
2. Head for the doorways and buildings, don't try and run in a straight line from A to B.
3. Turn off you torch as much as possible.
4. Knock over objects to slow the beasts down.
5. High static from the wii remote speaker comes out when you point the controller in the direction of an enemy, sort of like a sonar, so avoid those areas if possible.
6. The music goes from tense for chases and quiet when they aren't on your ass. This is when you check your map.
The hilarious thing about it is just that the game was NOT going to be made otherwise, if Nintendo didn't publish it.
Its not like a situation like say FF7 back in the day, where it was definitely coming out either way and Square just decided to move it to PS1 instead of N64. This game was not coming out at all, from what I understand. NINTENDO STEAL OUR CANCELLED GAMES!!111!!
This is what Nintendo should be doing, and what people always complain they don't do enough of; Getting 3rd-party exclusives to diversify their software library.
It does? Could have fooled me.
I guess it has potential. This is based on an anime series I think, so probably going for a different graphical style than the other Transformers games.
I am dumbfounded at those scores. You do nothing in SH. You walk, solve the most basic of puzzles, and go in a linear path. The chases are a chaotic mess where there is little to no strategy at all except just get away. And that is the ENTIRE GAME. There is nothing to this game, I have no clue what these devs were trying to make. Is it the story that compells you, cause other SH games had better stories than this. Other Silent Hills had better environments, better gameplay, MUCH MUCH better puzzles, much more exploration, and of course actual strategy in getting away from enemies.
GG what about the game in terms of actual mechanics did you enjoy. What about it made you say "wow I love replaying this" cause walking and grabbing clearly marked objects in a game world does not seem compelling to me. And as you stated the chases got easy for you cause they just repeat over and over that there is nothing to do except run in the right course, maybe go out of your way to get a flare and that is about as interesting as it gets.
EDIT: saw some of the reviews, of course cause of the story blah blah blah. There is no gameplay! And seriously other SH games shit all over this games story and "psychology" bullcrap.
I am playing Kid Icarus Uprising, I thought I was almost done, oh well. 3DS XL is a massive improvement, it makes it far easier to control. I still need a stand but I dont hurt like I did before. Plus it's just easier to battle all the craziness on screen when it is big.
I'm editing the podcast now and listeneing to the U wrap-up.
With the game announcements this week, but for the gamepad, it is clear to me that Nintendo should have lost it's casual veneer to the anti-Nintendo hard core gaming crowd.
It's got serious games on it, not gimped ports (as with the Wii) and solid hardware.
Too bad about the controller, but that can be corrected for $60. A unifed online account system with an acheivement system was required also. With all the TVii bullshit you know Nintendo had the time and skills to pull it off and they punted.
Who is the rhino?
