GI gave Boarderlands 2 a 9.75. Damn this is getting crazy scores.
I thought Rayman Legends was exclusive just for commercialism. Then seeing the touch screen use I thought it was exclusive because of that. But if they are making the game ground up for Wii U and using this "near limitless" memory for " for textures, drawings" etc to get the graphics like that which are over and above Rayman Origins, then they may have had trouble for the ports.
LOL I was just watching this tech program, forget about 4K HDTVs, Panasonic was showing an 8K one.

EDGE this story from june 2011, over a year ago says Wii U's GPU is based on a Radeon R770 GPU but heavily customised. We heard it was modified in the later half of 2011 to be "more 2012" as we've heard. With more advanced features.
That Eurogamer article asked a dev about Wii U development and he said:
"We're a GPU-heavy game, Wii U has a powerful GPU with more oomph than the rivals - and is more modern in architecture and shader support, which may come in handy later on."
So I think when he says it may come in handy later on - I believe he means later on with next gen game ports from PS4 etc and that it has a more advanced shader model (5.0) than the R770 and probably a tesselation unit - which was listed on the leaked specs.
Here is that article I was looking for
So the GPU is DX10 or whatever performance equivalent but then it was modernised to have DX11 like features we hear. So going by what the devs told Kotaku as long as it has DX9 like performance (We know it at least has DX10.something) it only needs some DX11 features, which were listed on the specs leaked and semi-confirmed by a Ubisoft dev later on (Compute shaders, tesselation unit)
But the devs said:
"UE4 as requiring Direct X 11 performance and capabilities, a standard beyond Nintendo's new device." So while Wii U can do UE3 DX11 enhanced like visuals (Star Wars 1313) it won't be able to do the full fat UE4. We heard recentely though from wsippel (dev on GAF), well he hinted that now, Wii U shows up on the list of UE4 supported platforms on the site you log onto for Epic for developers.
Cool. Its definitely a nice powerful console, the multi-platform games should run great on it for a few years anyway, this is not like the Wii where it was insanely outdated on day 1. This is more like the Dreamcast was as far as where the tech stands at release, in the console realm. And obviously all the ground up exclusives for it will be really beautiful.
In regards to Microsoft, what happened to that rumor about them going back to Nvidia chips?
Playing Mark Of The Ninja, WOW surprised no ones talking about this game. It's like Shadow Complex mixed with Ninja Gaiden. Purly 2D glory I love it. You guys should at least check out the demo.
I pretty much hate everything ever made for or from Transformers, this would have to be transendent to garner my attention. I see great reviews, I can't bring myself to get excited though.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileSimon Cowell was loving it.
Crying after being tear gassed? What babies.
Even Soundwave?
That is impressive Aspro, I guess I'm too old to really have been around for the whole Transformer toy phenom. I was already playing playing video games and pinball when it started. I was beyond regular toys at that point. I can't believe I'm going to be 48 in Dec.
I was loving it too!
I was too old for them too. (Said the man playing an 11 year old kids game).
Not too sound too 1930's, but I also had very little toys (other than the broken ones I got from the town dump).
And then to take the edge off that here's a funny picture:
I do remember the cool kids having that one that converts into a cassette though.
In terms of what I've been playing.
Nothing but Paper Mario this week. I am just now at chapter 4, the toy box one. I've had a fairly poor week, so have only played about 6 hours (11 all together).
No idea about Nvidia. As far as I can tell Wii U is about 50% more powerful than PS3 which apparently makes it twice as good as 360. But Orbis (PS4) should be about twice as good as Wii U, with Durango about twice as good as Orbis.
Either way, it won't be like Wii 1 compared to PS3 which is dozens of times better. Durango exclusives should look better than anything else but multiplats might be made with the lower spec machines in mind first, with minimal performance improvements on Durango.
Where are we getting this info that the new Xbox is going to be so superior to the PS4 even, nevermind the Wii U? Granted the GPU they're using is really powerful but I can't see it being that far ahead of PS4 to even matter.
It's got a 16 core CPU
