NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Square Enix accidently revealed the news behind the countdown site. Yes, it is for The World Ends With You – an iOS version of the 2007 hit Nintendo DS game.
There are some NMH 2 HD pics on GAF, kinda makes me want to replay it.
I'd replay the first one, but likely not the second.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Way to get my hopes up on TWEWY. I was actually pricing 3DS's. Gah!
It's news to me. First I've heard of it. The PC version has minimal content improvement over the original, like a few extra missions. Hmmm.
What's wrong with the second? (Still haven't got it yet.)
lolz.
^It's just the same as the first, except less imaginative levels and bosses (NMH2). It's a cash-in, not a sequel that builds on the source material. Still a solid 8.5 game, just not as good as the first.
No, it's got like a massive new chapter. You get to fight Astorias and many other bosses etc. The Dark Souls community has sort of been assuming it would be released as DLC on consoles, but it's definitely a big thing to the fans, not minimal at all.

Right on, that's cool. The articles I read downplayed it, but that sounds pretty good. Nice price too (on the link you included).
Quite a few news items I want to check out. Thanks for doing the work Aspro and GG. Much appreciated.

No it's hella cool.
Some people hate that they striped out the overworld but IMO the overworld was so poorly done it bogged everything down in NMH1.
NMH2 is better polished all around, better visuals, it strips out all the crap and delivers an enjoyable arcade slasher. It's pretty awesome and IMO the original received far better reviews than it deserved, no way was it a 9/10 game. It only got those reviews because it was one of the early and few mature Wii games. The sequel betters almost everything although I have read people that agree with you that the bosses are not as memorable etc.
Well, just another thing you are wrong about
I can't comment on the comparison, but he's certainly wrong in saying that No More Heroes is mature.
I love the core of both games. The actual assassination missions were for me highly enjoyable in both games. Most of the side-missions etc were tons of fun in the first game and I enjoyed doing them over and over to make cash for upgrades and outfits etc. I loved playing the game even if I wasn't doing the killing missions. Apart from the steak cooking game I hated every other one of the 8-bit games they replaced side-missions with in the sequel. I also hated the gym upgrades and as a result mostly didn't bother with them, whereas they were fun in the original game. So, while I love both I personally enjoyed NMH one tons more as practically all they choices they made in the sequel were for the worse where I was concerned

I'd still keep pricing those 3DS's if I were you...
