WHAT THE. FUCK. IS UP WITH THE PLAYSTATION NETWORK LATELY ? ! ?

Without getting into too much detail, I have an account that I use for everyday purchases that is managed by someone else. When it falls below a certain dollar amount, I need to request this person put more money into that account. I've made MANY purchases from the Playstation Store in the last week and a half. These purchases appeared in the "Pending Debit" section of my checking account around 7/31. They usually come out of the account a day or two after appearing in there. It's 8/8. They are STILL not out and they have disappeared from the Pending section! A new purchase I made last night is now appearing in the Pending. Let's see if THAT gets debited or not.

IS THERE ANYTHING SONY HAS NOT SCREWED UP THIS GENERATION? How hard is an electronic debit?

Digital sales outsell all physical sales. In europe digital sales outsell physical by nearly 4 times the sales.

PORT WASHINGTON, NEW YORK, August 8, 2012 – According to the Q2 2012 Games Market Dynamics: U.S.* report from leading market research company, The NPD Group, in addition to the $1.0 billion spent in the U.S. by consumers on new physical video and PC game software in the second quarter of 2012 (April – June), the total consumer spend on other physical forms of content (used and rental) reached $386 million, and content in digital format (full game and add-on content downloads, subscriptions, mobile games and social network games) generated $1.47 billion.

“In the second quarter of this year, sales of content in a digital format have grown 17 percent over Q2 2011," said Anita Frazier, industry analyst, The NPD Group. “While this growth is in stark contrast to the declines in new physical software and hardware sales, the size of digital sales is not quite large enough to offset these declines, leading to an overall drop in consumer spending in Q2 by 16 percent.”



Comparison to Europe
Similar research in the UK, France and Germany shows that the consumer spend on other forms of physical games content outside of new physical retail sales totaled $243 million (used and rental) while digital format sales in those three countries (full game and add-on content downloads, subscriptions, mobile games and social network games) generated an additional $983 million in sales during Q2 2012.

“While many European acquisition trends in the second quarter of 2012 mirrored those we saw in the U.S. due to seasonality, Europe differed from the U.S. in terms of softer mobile spending, but greater stability in rental trends. Growth in full-game and add-on content downloads in the second quarter is surprisingly similar as the content behind this increase is suitable to both markets.”

Oh I see now that includes facebook and mobile crap, so it doesnt really count.

I don't know if I'm ready for a Nintendo console with graphics beyond 2001. We shall see.

I'm having Similar issues, bought an item on the 31st still not charged, now its gone from pending with no charge, bought sound shapes yesterday it's now pending wonder if it will get charged or just dissappear?
