You are simplifying to totally different concept to make your point. Cloud based computing and the Wii-U are totally different concepts.
Yes of course.
You do need consistent, non-capped broadband to make it work though, so that rules out most of Australia.
Yup there is that small issue
I hear lotsof US companies are starting to do that too.
Yeah I really don't like the idea of cloud based gaming. When all is going well I'm sure its a great thing, but there's just too much that can go wrong. What happens when your internet is down or the company's sever is down? Or even worse what happens if there's a PSN like attack that shuts things down for an extended length of time? I'm okay with individual games being internet onl, but an entire system that requires it? That's askihg for trouble.
Yep. Also, unless Gakai has changed their model this is not a service they are providing directly to consumers, Sony will be handling that. They also want to sell their services to multiple parties (like a Steam, Origin or Micsoft) so unless they are desperate for a big start with Sony and signed a timed exclusive deal then we'll see more of this concept over time.
New Star Wars franchise incoming!!! To be revealed on the spike pre E3 show.
I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new Star Wars title, said Geoff Keighley, Host and Executive Producer, Spike TVs E3 All Access Live special. I cant wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it. During the GTTV pre-E3 episode, Geoff Keighley travels to San Francisco for exclusive behind-the-scenes access into the LucasArts studio. GTTV also meets with the LucasArt development team to reveal the name and concept behind this game and introduces viewers to the talented artists who are bringing the E3 demo to life.
Spent another half hour on top of the 40 minutes from the day prior not shooting a damn thing, just driving and talking to NPCs.
I got it for $10, it looked like it sucked ass but some of the GS guys said its good trust me. Liars!
The demo was horrible.
Diablo 3 sold 6.3 million copies already, what. So this franchise is really a top ten franchise in sales cause I cant think of many that can do that, that fast? Did Starcraft 2 sell so well so quickly?
The progression from normal to almost insane ramblings in this quote is amazing.
Blizzard probably have the most loyal user base in gaming. A bunch of WoW users would buy anything they release on faith alone.
EDIT: and OLD! I posted that two days ago.
smartphone keyboard
Nintendo doesnt even have that,. Zelda games struggle if ever get to that number
Diablo is definitely that popular. The first two games were both extremely popular, and Diablo 2 was the fastest selling PC game of all time when it was released (I think it was eclipsed by Cataclysm). And Diablo 2 still moves copies today, which says a lot considering that the game was released a decade ago. Hell, I bought a copy of it last year, since my old copy has been long gone. Now if they hadn't gone a decade in between releases would it have sold that many copies? That's a different question.
The reasons Street Fighter X Tekken sold less than expected
Yeah. . . . pretty good article here. SFxT wasn't a bad game, but after playing it for a week I didn't have a trouble sending it back to Gamefly. It's a good 2D fighter, but there's no shortage of good 2D fighters out there these days and plenty of great ones. Good in a crowd great just doesn't cut it.
Sega delays 'finished' Anarchy Reigns in the West
Oh just fuck you Sega.... Just fuck you.... I'm looking forward to about half a dozen games this year, and this is one of them. The way this article sounds (and even from the guys Platinum), cancelling the Western release doesn't sound out of the question. Do not like this at all.
If this ends up getting good reviews I may consider importing as according to this article it's fully localized and English is available as an option to play the game.
