So nobody has played the Dragon's Dogma demo I take it since nobody has said anything about it. I guess you would all rather talk about Sony Smash Bros. To hell with you all.
Oh shoot I forgot about that. Yeah, I remember now. That is pretty bad.
GAF guy about Wii U NFC:
"Capcom is already thinking of a wise way to use this. Purchase 3DS Street Fighter game. Purchase Ryu figurine. Place Ryu figurine on WiiU tablet. This triggers figurine Ryu to come on TV screen and then puts the WiiU in scan mode to connect to your 3DS while it's on Street Fighter game, and then put in a code on the figurine in your 3DS. The code on your 3DS unlocks a payment page on the WiiU game, when you can purchase DLC - that is already on your WiiU disc."
Look at what the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has in their offices
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is coming to the PS3, and it looks a lot like Smash Bros. Wondering just how much of an influence Nintendo's franchise is on this title?
That's a picture from the dev studio working on the game. Notice any Nintendo-related items in there? Thanks to Alfred for the heads up!
Good luck with that!
Go back and finish stuff up in that "blank" Valley. It will close down soon!
You can get the collectibles from other places too. Just remember the map will fill up completely when you found all landmarks and sights!
New podcast coming in a couple of hours. I think except for Robio and Archie you all got mentions this week.
EDIT: Speaking of podcasts, I was listening to The Hotspot last night. I had not seen it turn up in my RSS Reader for a while, I figured I had unsubscribed, but I guess they stopped putting them out after Tom Magrino and a bunch of other GS staff were fired. (Which in the case of Magrino is excellent news). So they say they are killing off The Hotspot podcast and going to come up with something new.
I'm sure none of this had anything to do with CBS buying Giantbomb (eye roll) since that aquisition wasn;t going to change anything (wank gesture).
The Sim Ocean news /announcement or whatever it is could be interesting. I'd like to say I'm looking forward to it just based on my love of SimCity, but all of their spinoffs are very hit or miss with me. SimAnt was fun as was SimTower, but SimEarth, SimLide and most of the others were not. Likewise the entire Sims series can disappear for all I care. Hopefully the upcoming Sim City remake will be good and maybe that will be a good barometer for Oceans.
Because that went so well for Nintendo the first time.
---
Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileYou see that story about SimCity having the multiplayer emphasis? I read it and it's not as bad as it sounds, basically choices you make in your city (ostensinbly pollution) can impact neighboring cities.
I've been a SimCity lunatic since the 386/SNES days, and that extended to SimEarth (the enthusiasm but not the enjoyment).
You know Yoot Saito (Odama, Seaman) made SimTower right? Pretty cool. There is a serviceable GBA version of the game under hte oriignal name Yoot's Tower.
I think it would be perfectly appropriate for Sony to throw in the towel, become a software publisher, and provide Nintendo with blu-ray technology for the Wii U. They blew their chance this entire generation. I think their rep is irreparable; back to square one, namely being a disc-drive for a Nintendo console.
Sony and MS have practically the SAME games on their two systems. Having one "hardcore" next-gen system and having one Nintendo franchise system seems like the perfect combo. The Playstation has become redundant.
I'd much rather keep Sony than MS.
I actually love the online multiplayer feature even if it has been forced upon the player. The idea of making my neighbors' lives miserable is kind of appealing these days. Seriously though I think it'll add a great new dimension to the series.
Interesting bits of trivia about the series. Wasn't aware. I never really delved into thw series trivia. Kind of surprising though given the amount of time I spent wirh it. The first PC expansion pack I ever bought was for SimCity. I provided new skins and let you have cities in Feudal Japan, Medieval Europe, the Wild West and several futuristic settings. Good good times.
Yeah, damn aussies. Don't they know only mexicans are supposed to steal american jobs?
It's quite good, really. Dunno if day one, full price good, but at least 3 months in and a nice pricecut good.
I laughed at this more than I should have.
No, because you're a lazy bastard. That's why Leo has a sixpack and you have a saggy ass.
