I remember playing that. That's a good one. I'll start with it tomorrow.
Such a relief, they took nigh on 3 months to do it and a lot of back and forth with the vet. I was expecting the worst news but its okay. They will pay for 60% of his treatment now. At least I wont have to worry about keeping him fairly well till he dies. Thanks again everyone.
There was a recent rumour of a Soul Reaver reboot, so maybe they are making that now?
So I played 2 hrs of Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.
Pretty cool game, I know Gamespot and Yoda hates it. It follows on directly after the GC Path of Radiance game so if you dug that title you'll love this too.
It's so obviously a GC game that switched over very late in development to Wii. It has no IR or wii controls whatsoever and you use just the remote and some dual button presses for some things, which can be occasionally awkward. Difficulty is fine, I haven't had any problems like some people. Sure you can still have one powerful character sneak in a kill one of your lower powered characters in one move. That's fire emblem and it's your fault for leaving an opening.
Graphics are broadly in line with the GC game. It's Fire Emblem and very enjoyable. I get a kick out of seeing and hearing about characters I knew in PORadiance. This is the aftermath of what happened after Ike and the Greil Mercenaries dealt with Ashnard. Dain is being ruled by a corrupt Begnion and there is a group of rebels you play as called the Dawn Bridgade ; but there are all these crossover characters from the first game and references to things that happened back then.
One thing that annoys me is the reviews for when this game came out. It came out when 360 had been around for a year already or more and reviewers, quite unfairly IMO, tried to judge the game against these huge big budget HD prodcutions. The game is Fire Emblem GC which is basically Fire Emblem gba with 3D graphics. You have characters talking to each other in text, barely any voice acting. So what? That doesn't make it bad game, it just makes it true to the series and it's still very well made and still very enjoyable.
Wii U ass creed 3
This is coming from the newest issue of Nintendo Gamer magazine:
Wii U tablet controller can act as some form of link to the Assassin's Creed "Animus"
Wii U tablet Animus can be used as a persistent on-screen map and navigation tool.
Animus Database entries that may pop up from time to time, could be displayed on the touchscreen instead and not interrupt the flow of the game.
The Animus can also act as an encyclopedia of information. Character biographies and bits of information that would normally be cast aside could be displayed on the touchscreen (take a break and read up on the side story & character history while eating dinner?).
Easy touchscreen weapon selection during combat. Quick change from dual-wield combat to single with a simple touch.
Using the touchscreen as an alternate view for Eagle Vision. Using the built-in accelerometer to control the camera view while in Eagle Vision.

Yay I can read encyclopedia entries in real time, what I always wanted!
Thank you Nintendo for reminding me that games are supposed to be fun, full of joy and are supposed to put a smile on your face. Within the first two minutes of Kid Icarus I was already laughing, I was filled with excitement to jump into this awesome world. So far the game is a blast and the controls with the stand work very well. It is a pain when just holding it on your hand but I think with the button control scheme it works well. The amount of options available its pretty crazy and there is a ton of content is massive.
It is so well done and has the qualities that make gaming my favorite medium. Nintendo does it again.
^ Hmmm... You remind me of someone when you post like that... Hmmm...
Really, maybe just a coincidence.
Vader, I've revived my 360 topic. Look at the last few posts. There's some info in there you are going to want to see, IF you don't know about it already!
That's what I keep telling myself as I play through Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.
But don't forget. You're getting trophies. That should make up for the loss of fun right?
Is it bad that I used to really be into games with in-game encyclopedias and would often stop playing just to read up on the in-game mythos? That's how Everquest kept me hooked so long.
Nope. There are no Trophies in Prologue.
Ooooh. Well then...... enjoy.
I love in game encyclopedias but I have no problem stopping the game to read them.
This is officially my new favorite demotivator despite never playing ME3.
This really was a pretty good ending.
Well that is one of the best endings ever.
Robio, are you going to be holding on to SF X Tekken for a little while?
I'd like to fight you again...
...but I don't feel very well right now...
Yeah I'll probably keep it for another week or so. I have a feeling I won't be able to get Kid Icarus from Gamefly right away so I might as well enjoy this one a little longer.
