Oh so you don't like it when someone does it to you huh?
You do realise that you make fun of Ico whenever you get the chance right?
The "lol" was because it starts off crap, just as it ends crap. The good stuff is in the middle.
Oh, and obviously judging a game by 2 levels is just silly. If he'd said it was great after two levels it would be lol worthy too. Actually more so, given that he's right that the first two levels are crap.
This is assuming the two levels he played were the first two.
If Sony and MS don't show off their next gen machines at E3, it will be really a really boring show IMO.
I was helping my bro move house yesterday, which mostly involved sitting around whilst the movers did their thing. So I played Fire Emblem Sacred Stones which is one of the free games Nintendo gave to early 3DS adopters. I remembered why I love Fire Emblem, these gba games are the reason but the cube game was awesome too.
Everything about it is awesome, the music, the controls, the depth and strategy, the story is great too. It could be turned into a massive zelda like production and made into one of Nintendo's premiere franchises but they keep giving it to the original devs Intelligent Systems who tech wise aren't up to scratch with say the Galaxy or Zelda teams. I wanted the DS Fire Emblem but the prerendered cgi character art made me sick. I think I will pick up the wii game and play it on the Wii U pad.
Spector on things he would like to improve upon for Epic Mickey…
“With Mickey 1, we built a team – we went from 13 people to about 180. We built a studio, we built a tech base, we built a world… we did about everything you can do wrong in video game development. We tried to do everything at once. And so I’m really proud of the first Epic Mickey game. If I were to do it again, there are clearly things that we had to cut and things we could have done better. The number one thing I get asked is, ‘Why can’t I play this on my platform, damn it?’ So if I were to do another one – now that we’ve reintroduced Mickey as a video game hero on the right platform, which was the Wii – I think we’ve got other people intrigued. There are now more PS3s and 360s in sort of “family hands,” let’s put it that way. So I think the time would be right to get the game on other platforms.
“The second thing I get asked is ‘you made a game that appeals to adults and kids equally,’ which is true by the way and was one of our goals, so ‘Why can’t I play together? Why can’t I play with my son and why can’t I play with my mother? Why I can’t play with my friends?’ So, I would probably do co-op. I would definitely address player concerns about the camera. That was the number one complaint we heard, but I will defend to the death the quality of the work my camera team did on that first game; there is a whole GDC talk about that sometime, too. The camera in the first game was an amazing piece of work that people don’t appreciate. We took the hardest problem in gaming and then made it even harder through our game mechanics – which people don’t get – but we know we could do better. And so I would do that and I would do full voice. I mean I made a decision on the first game not to have characters speak. It was a mistake and I would fix that.”
Warren expanding on his thoughts for voice acting…
“No that’s exactly why – There are two reasons why I didn’t do full voice. I mean the one is Oswald’s a silent film star, and if he can’t talk no one will. I thought that was funny. And I wanted not just to honor Disney history, but I wanted to honor the Zelda games, the Mario games, the Japanese RPGs that I love, none of which use full voice. But what I didn’t think through was these are Disney characters. No one expects Mario to talk, no one expects Link to talk. Everyone expects Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, the Mad Doctor… everybody expects those guys to talk and I let them down. So, we are going to fix that if we have ever do another game.”
^
Shouldn't have watched that straight after listening to Rosa Parks. Ruined it.
There is not a word for how happy I am knowing that this new laptop that my piece of shit company gave me will be able to play it without problems.
Third parties say publishing 3DS games is hard
I wonder when we'll start seeing some sales data for more 3DS games. I know RE: Revelations has done over a half million worldwide, though the only part of that's clear is that it done a little over 250K in Japan. I guess until someone gets big sales they're not going to go bragging about it.
Okay I've been celebrating St. Patrick's Day today by playing The Saboteur. An Irishman who says fuck a lot killing Nazi's and saving the French. That's in the spirit of things right?
It is going to be a boring show...outside of Nintendo. Because its obvious games development has shifted to new hardware.
I'm celebrating St Patrick's Day by drilling my Irish girlfriend doggystyle.
Decent but not wesker rap rivalling.

But judging games without even playing them is ok then?
And I have played Ico, I am totally in my right to make fun of it.
I'm not going to reply to this in the topic, as I am avoiding it due to potential spoilers, but CNN... covering gamers SUING over a VIDEOGAME ending...
What an entitled bunch of sniveling, wuss-bags the gamers of this generation are turning out to be.
I would LOVE to see something like that get to a court of law JUST so a judge can throw the nerdy little whiners out of the courtroom, demanding them to get lives and/or an education.
This is basically what I said on gaf, the gaf army went after me. Apparently gaming is different from movies or TV in that we should get the ending we want or something. They did have interviews with a dev that promised somethings about the ending that was not true so I guess that is what they are basing this lawsuit on.
What a bunch of douches... So they basically want developers and designers to forgo their artistic vision of what THEIR game or series is supposed to be, and basically give gamers whatever they want. No surprises, no variation... Tell me though... how often do gamers all AGREE on what they want to the point where a developer can even deliver that?! People are pathetic these days.
Nevermind, this is actually kind of nice and I think this is what CNN was covering, or I hope it was.

Its a charity for children's hospital and you donate to show express that you want a new ME3 ending. It has raised over $55k so far... Wow gamers are angry and have lots of money. Good cause though.
... and Thanks, but No Thanks GAF, I am an individual with individual tastes, that very seldomly shares views with the little troglodytes that live online in that forum and in their parent's basement in reality. Talk about Groupthink!
...
OK then, they are spoiled brats then that are saying "Give us what we want (screw your ideas for your own game) and we'll donate to charity!"
...
Would they donate to charity WITHOUT making petty videogame demands otherwise?
So true, lol.
