Were Gerstmann and any of the founding editors owners of the site? That was always my impression.
Gerstmann was the fat kid who was friends with Greg Kasavin so he got a free ride for years even though his opinion was no better than the average fat kid who hangs out at Electronics Boutique every weekend.
I guess I will cancel my preorder.....Capcom should be ashamed of themselves. It should not be that difficult to make a quality multi-player based RE game.
Diablo 3 in May....that's a great time for a game like that.

EDIT: I think that if Bethesda is doing it, and not just farming it out, we are going to see the world's buggiest game ever. Take their usuall buginess and add MASSIVELY. MULTIPLAYER. ONLINE. to it (each word adding more and more complexity) shoudl be spectacular.
But, I'm guessing they are having someone else hadle it, given the scope of such a project and how long it takes them to get regular games out.
Of Giant Bomb? Yeah he and Ryan Davis were the co-founders and presumably majority stake holders. They put up the initial capital before Whiskey Media (headed by former CBS Interactive CEO) came in and leveraged the tech into the other sites. That negative review of Kane & Lynch turned out the very best thing that ever happened to Jeff. He got a huge payout for getting fired, used the money to make a site with his friends and then sold it (presumably for millions) before esentially getting his old job back. Nicely played.
Sucks for the tested.com guys. They are going to be the offical website of the Mythbusters guys and they are going off of pure tech coverage into general science (I've already unsubscribed).

Okay fuck Gamefly. Seriously. I thought I'd give them a chance since it had been 3 years since I last used them, and figured that they've had plenty of time to work out any bugs in their delivery system. Nope. Monday they sent me an email saying that Street Fighter v Tekken was on the way. Here it is Friday and it still has not arrived. I knew they weren't going to be as fast as Netflix, but this is just stupid. A first class letter can make it across the country in a week, and it's not like I live in the middle of nowhere. As soon as the trial period ends I'm cancelling. There has got to be a better way, and these schmoes clearly haven't figured it out.

sadly i can't say that i am surprised i didn't have to high hopes for the game but a 3 out of 10 i didn't think it would be that bad
