Oh wow I am watching Modern Family right now, 8 minutes in the very first episode, these are my impression so far:
1) Ed O'Neal is a god among man
2) It is awesome
3) Travo is pussy
I think the games in my collection I would most like to replay but don't are RE 2, Code Veronica and REmake and RE0.
I used to like them a lot but they seem archaic in light of todays games, the fixed camera angles, the storage system, the controls. It's just so obtuste. It annoys me with the cube RE games too because they look fabulous. Especially with RE0 where you have to just drop items on the ground and switch characters and all that stuff.
Otherwise, I have completed Skies of Arcadia twice, I want to play it again but it's a 45hr game if you do everything. I have the DC version so the random battles put me off which I hear were reduced in the GC version. The GC version is rare and expensive though.
This makes me laugh as people were just talking about a Paper Zelda game on GAF a couple of days back.
How about this, a Paper Zelda game made like Paper Mario by Intelligent Systems only top down and it plays like Link to the Past. Would that interest anyone?
The Cube version of Arcadia is awesome. Such an underrated game.
See I still love replaying the old RE games, in fact I may appreciate them more than ever these days because there's just NOTHING like them anymore. The slow pace...the crushing atmosphere...the goofy yet somehow awesome stories. The characters, monsters....shit is just fucking classic. Plus, you can play through them much quicker than something like Zelda or FF, which invites replays.
I toyed with the idea of replaying Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, then said to myself LMFAO no.
Yeah that would be great, but hopefully not as their flagship launch game.
I hear there is no sort of quest tracking system in that game. So you have to make notes or something with a pen and pad?
That's the version I had. Those were good times.
There's a journal, but its not automatically organized like in Oblivion. So, say, you accept a shitload of sidequests without completing any of them or keeping up with them....well, good luck trying to remember what page of the 500 page journal told you where to go or what to do. As long as you don't take on too much at a time, you're all set.
Wow, 500 pages.
That's what I am doing so far this year, with a few exceptions. I have 2,222 games, I have beaten 282 of them. I beat somewhere between 30-50 a year. Let's say of the 1,940 games still to beat that 80 are duplicates and about 200 of them are unbeatable or could be beaten in a day (old games), that would leave 1,660 games. So at 40 scalps a year it would only take me 41 more years. So around 2052 I should be ready for some new games.
I keep them because I do actually beleive I will play or beat them all some day.
Robio:
"There’s no way to tell if there’s any meaning behind this, but Natsume, publisher of the Harvest Moon games in the U.S., recently tweeted:
“If you could port one Harvest Moon to another system, which one would it be and where would you play it?”
If you’re familiar with the Harvest Moon legacy, the fan responses won’t come as a surprise. Early responses on Twitter are asking for ports of older popular Harvest Moon titles such as Harvest Moon 64 and Back to Nature on the DS or 3DS. Interestingly, almost all the responses so far are making requests for portable platforms."
No surprise that they're asking for HM:64, but I'm not happy that people are asking it for the portables. There hasn't been a single good console version of the series in this generation aside from Magic Melody (a GC game originally) and Rune Factory: Frontier which is more of a spin-off. The handheld installments have been pretty strong for the series between the last couple DS games (Wind Valley was excellent) and Hero of Leaf Valley on the PSP. I suppose because of all of that the audience has probably moved over to handhelds as their primary gaming source or at least for their preference of the HM series.
Zelda Link to the Past with a portal gun
"Recently the hosts of The Today Show took a break from their regular talk show schedule to laugh at the thought of adult gamers.
"Do you think it's okay for men to play video games in their 30s and over?" Asked one of the announcers, unable to get through the question without breaking into laughter.
Kathie Lee Gifford didn't wait to weigh in with her opinion, proudly proclaiming "No, that's weird. Xbox."
"The answer is no," added some guy named Donny Deutsch, who Wikipedia says is a "TV personality." "When you're in your thirties, there should be something more on your mind or attention than video games."
After agreeing that it's okay for parents to play games with their kids, Hoda Kotb provided the last glimmering insight, stating that the question is only referring to "those weird ones in the basement."
We could, as GameSetWatch pointed out, respond to their criticisms with the fact that the average gamer is now 37, that women make up 42% of gamers, and that a whopping 29% of gamers are now over the age of 50 - which by the Today show's standards would make them really weird. But I'm alright with this trio's unduly harsh judgment, because honestly, I can't think of anything weirder than listening to what a bunch morning talk show hosts blab about in-between commercials for reality shows and soap operas."

You mean those two women who are always drinking on air?
I'm just ashamed that any members of the gaming media are watching Kathy Lee Gifford. Jesus, I thought we were done with that woman in the 90's.
I was just driving along Sunrise Highway on Long Island when I saw some teenage or 20-something guy (1)Stroll up the sloped walk to a Harley Davidson dealership, (2)Lean up against the metal railing...
...I thought to myself at this point: "Maybe he's been walking a while and he's tired?"
(3)Unzip his Khaki shorts, (4)Take out his Penis, (5)Drape his Penis over the metal railing, and (6)Snap a picture with either a small camera or large phone...
I'm pretty sure the dealership was closed already...
...I THEN thought to myself: "There's something you don't see every day!"
Oh! ...and "Nice Penis."
MUST HAVE been one of those Naked in Public photo things or a Dare... Yeah. It's been a strange day. Had to get out of my house, been inside too long and just felt like taking a trip to GameStop. Paid off El Shaddai and put money down on Disgaea 4. Guess I am glad I made the trip!
