Well I played some 1.03 and felt weird something was off with health I felt like I was starting over again having a hard time killing and people killing me with 1 shot grrrr.
I don't even understand how it works, it seems very scripted yet totally open. And my god at the 80s scene, that's crazy. Tears for Fears!!!
Agreed. EGM was one of the better reviewing organizations in that period.
Oh my collection is NOTHING -- I learnt that a long time ago.
Why did you guys import the Japanese game now/recently when an English (and other) language release is so close anyway? Buy a Wiimote? You don't already have one? How will you rip your Wii games without a Wii (and so its controllers) anyway? Dude, there's a US release, you're playing it in Japanese? How come? Practicing the language?
Yeah, I'm gonna cringe at the excuses they'll come up with but I thought I'd show them they need to at least tone down their bs... Maybe one of the juniors will fall for it too and expose himself to a ban...

while the pessimist fears this is true.

Good for you Agnates. If anyone had an excuse to pirate it would be you, given how poor the distribution of games are in your region and the cost etc... so I totally respect you for not being a part of that scene.
Your collection is nuts. It's huge.
I made it 4 minutes in before turning it off in boredom. I have no patience, I didn't want to be led about by the hand like that. In FPS I want a small setup and then gameplay, gameplay, gameplay. In games like Bioshock or HL2 all that first person stuff that interupts gameplay is annoying to me. Especially when it comes to replaying the games.
Started playing Majora's Mask again from scratch on my Zelda kick.
I have a feeling that those that say they didn't like MM, didn't even make it past the first 3 days and recovered the Ocarina. Or certainly didn't make it further than the end of the swamp temple.
I can understand why some might have had a hard time playing. Once you stop playing, say for a couple of weeks it's difficult to go back to and get into it as everything is so rich and deep, you need to have everything in your mind when you play the game continuously.
Also, I suspect some people who didn't like the game, didn't even go to the scarecrows and realise that you can slow down or fast forward time. You need to know all this stuff if you want to play the game properly and like any Zelda game my advice is: Don't start a dungeon unless you have an hour and a half free to complete it all in one sitting.
Other than that, I'm starting to remember why this game is one of, if not my favourite - game ever. It's a small town on reflection compared to todays environments anyway, but it's so rich with character and, with actual characters who all operate their own little lives over the course of these three days. The game is personal, compared to Ocarina, it's not about going on a grand adventure to save the world, it's about getting to know this little town and saving the people inside in one way or the other. The game has the best sidequests I have played in any game and is the ultimate Good Samaritan game - if you like helping people, this is the most rewarding game you can play. The music and atmosphere is meloncholy and bittersweet and the game is filled with tons of little moments of friendship or sadness. Playing as someone from essentially an alternate universe gives you the outside scope and feeling like, almost like a guardian angel that has landed in this sorrowful world that you want to make right.
I just started picking up hints on the Anju/Kafei sidequest.
Such an awesome quest when you complete it. Reuniting the two betrothed.
I'm just about to head into the swamp temple. Love this game.
I would love to play through Majora again too. Its a case of one of those long, epic games coming out at the end of a console generation that you just do not have the time for that ou would have if it came out years earlier. Same with Perfect Dark....imagine the legs that game would have had, had it come out in 1998 or something.
But when you've got PS2 right around the corner, and the 1st smattering of insanely addicting online Dreamcast games to play....yeah Majora and PD aren't going to have the longevity of Ocarina or Goldeneye.
True that, but at least gamers have the chance to revisit those games or go back and play them on the Virtual Cosole or XBLA if they missed them out first time around. There are other "end of generation" games which got lost in the switch and seem to have all but disappeared like Conker's Bad Fur Day. I think I'd have really enjoyed that. (I got the Xbox version but had it stolen before I could play it and Iga said it was censored or no good somehow anyway).
It will probably happen again at the end of the Wii's life with games like Last Story, Xenoblade, and maybe even Skyward Sword and Dragon Quest X (if it does get released)

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
Majora might be the only Zelda that I completed 100% on. It came at the perfect time for me. I just started my first teaching position in the middle of Nowhere, SC. I was extremely lonely, living in a duplex by myself. I can remember eagerly waiting to get out of work at 3:15, then cruised to the nearest Walmart (40 minutes away!) to pick up my copy. God, the anticipation of driving home to play! The only reason I didn't pick it up at midnight was because my funds hadn't gotten in the bank yet. I might have called in sick the next day, can't remember. That weekend was an all MM weekend.
The things I remember....
As soon as I get a new fuse for the plug, I have to hook my n64 back up, it's been a couple of years now. It will be nice to play the Rare games again. On N64 the zeldas and mario 64 are on the wii vc and since for my money the original Goldeneye has been a little bit put in the shadow of the new Goldeneye I'm not as eager to play that. Perfect Dark and DK64 and stuff, I'm down for that.
So cool all the memories in this game. Like meeting Anju's Grandmother who thinks you are her son Tortus and wants to read to you. So sweet yet melancholy.
I think melancholy and haunting are two good words to desribe MM. Depending on my mood, it's either my favorite Zelda or OoT is.
Majora's Mask sucked.
A question about Bioshock Infinite at E3. Did the journalist actually play the game? Or did they just see what we just seen? Because if they awarded Game of the Show to a game they have not played, than it is almost as bad as awarding the award to a game for just showing off a trailer.
^ Huh? Bioshock Infinite isn't a game, Iga. It's a movie.
