Dead Nation is almost done!
Oh and whats with the extra skinny Skeletor skins? Is that a cheat? It's really hard to hit those guys.
I think you can get those skins as you level up. I think it's a pretty high level, like Steel's fat suit.
I love the fat suit I was cracking up! A fat drake !
Pimpin' the system.
Wish I'd got around to making my Hong Kong/American account before PSN went down. I was just about to make the Hong Kong one when it did.
Foolz do you play Uncharted 2? Add me to your list, we will play something. I play with aspro and he's in bumblefuck AUS.
Damn, now I have to wait forever for Dead Nation to INSTALL.
But it's FREE!!!!! LOL
And now I have to install a FUCKING update! So slow.....lol
I've Downloaded and Installed Dead Nation, WipeOut, Under Siege and Wizardry all in the last two hours...
...My Store seems to be running smoother than ever!
Once I stopped playing it started downloading faster, but it still took a couple of hours for Dead Nation. It took about three and a half for Infamous.
I haven't even got up to Uncharted 1 yet! Will add you on PSN, though. Gdoggs? Mine is Foolz3h.
There is a new Red Faction movie on SyFy right now!
Joystiq:
"In honor of its 7th anniversary, Telltale Games has decided to drive itself to bankruptcy. That's the only plausible explanation for the 75% off sale it's now instituted on its online store, running now through June 25 (even though the website says it starts June 6.)
The sale covers everything from games to t-shirts to, say, these awesome Homestar Runner figures (which are now $2!) The only things not included are Back to the Future and Puzzle Agent 2. If you'd like a few suggestions, we noticed The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition for $2.50, the Sam & Max book for $5, and the full season of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People for $7.50. We noticed that last one as we were buying it. We suspect we're going to interact with this sale episodically, by which we mean we're going to return and buy more stuff a few times."
Nobody missed much, the Red Faction movie was dull and boring.
Played a lot of Black, great graphics. Criterion and Factor 5 were like tech kings last gen. Some of the textures are pretty bad if you go about inspecting things but in generaly in normal gameplay its great. I am a framerate whore, so I actually would place this above Riddick, Half Life 2 and Doom 3 in the graphics department. (Xbox versions of course) And it weren't for Goldeneye Wii's superior animation and some weather effects I would put it above nearly every Wii shooter I have played - Metroid Prime 3 is not a FPS.
Controls are pretty damn solid, a bit slow yes but accurate nonetheless. The game could use a freaking map and the levels are a bit linear but no more so than something like Half Life 2. Weapons are meaty and explosive. The game seems to have a lot in common with Wii Goldeneye, I know there is some interchangebility between the UK studios of Eurocom, Rare, Criterion and Free Radical so maybe there are some ex Black staff members at Eurocom.
Things the games have in common are a similar art style, descructible environments, the RPG guys, similar silenced weapons, weapon reload blur and tons of other little things I can't remember off the top of my head. Goldeneye is much better because of the AI, stealth mechanics and fantastic level design. Speaking of stealth the devs give you silenced weapons which are pretty much useless because there is no map or radar, the levels are not designed for stealth and because worst of all, the enemies are all dead eye shots who can spot you from half a mile away. You really need a sniper rifle on you all the time but so far they only have it on one level which is a shame.
Other than that the levels are too long and there is no mid level saves so they drag and drag and drag. Nothing I hate more than being forced to play just to reach a save point. Also the live action, acted cutscenes are beyond lame and difficult to follow too.
Still this game is really, really solid, it came out before COD4? It seems to do much of what that game did but lacks the memorable set pieces and heroic atmosphere. I like this game, did it sell poorly? Why no sequel?
Oh yeah and most Black screens are upscaled PC shots cause the game has jaggies, the screens do not. That said, it still looks great.
When are you gonna get that 360 of yours online?
Ask Robio
I don't think it will happen. I have the wireless dongle but the reception is no good.
Oh yeah, started James Bond Nightfire. I rented it before and its the same as I remember.
They interupt the gameplay every five seconds with cutscenes. The racing is fun but pointless.
Game would be better with camera lock for zoomed in aiming. Still, Bond is Bond and I wanted more FPS action.
From the story in the updates:
“Nintendo’s new machine is powerful and though I hate to bash, it won’t be another Dreamcast. This will be the PS2 of its generation.”
Then this:
GameTrailers Editor in Chief Shane Satterfield has apparently heard that “there is going to be some big third-party announcements for Nintendo’s new console at the show”. That was said on the latest episode of the site’s Invisible Walls show. It sounded like he was going to elaborate on his comment, but Michael Pachter interrupted him. So, unfortunately, that was all that was said about third-parties and Project Cafe.
“I have kind of heard some things through the grapevine there is going to be some big third-party announcements for Nintendo’s new console at the show, there’s no doubt about that.”
