Well yeah its nice to move and shoot in a game like this, but otherwise if you go back to it now the controls feel pretty clumsy like most games of that era.
That has more to do with the 20fps framerate then the actual controls. JFG has two control schemes. One walking around with analog stick and jumping and stuff and the other while holding R you walk with the c-buttons and aim with the stick. The only thing that would change would be that the second analog stick will take the place of the c-buttons. To be honest analog aiming is clumsy too, give me a JFG with pointer controls. Sin and Punishment 2 proves that dual analog is useless.
An on rails shooter proves that dual analog is useless?
Anyway they could design the aiming like the Wii version of RE4 and allow you to move and strafe at the same time.
Oh...no they can't. I forgot it can't be released for Nintendo or Sony. Well I could wave my arm around like an idiot and aim like that I suppose.
Yes! It is that good.
Wii version of RE4. I remember that vaguely. Did it not sell 1.5 million? Wow, Capcom must be glad, they will probably keep on making awesome 3rd person shooters on the Wii!
Chicks dig the cravat.
I had no idea it was a PSP game. When I first reported it I thought it would be some racing game. Then when I read the story I got the idea that it was some PC downloadable title or something.
You are right, Edgecrusher I de-bow to you.
DE - BOW
First thing I thought of when playing Sin and Punishment 2 was how great Jet Force would be with these controls.
Yeah it kinda does. I mean it's pretty ridiculous going from Sin and Punishment 1 to 2. I downloaded SP1 because it was never released over here and it was suppossed to be great. The controls are hard, like really hard and I gave up after a couple of levels. SP2 makes SP1 controls seem like a bad joke. I feel like people today if they had never touched a game before would try to play SP1 and say: What the hell is that? That's impossible to control.
A lot of Wii FPS control schemes make dual analogue seem pretty archaic to me. But Sin and Punishment takes the biscuit, you pretty much move about with the stick and then effortlessly shoot with IR. It could be adapted to make 3rd person shooters control like a dream. Zombie Panic and Wonderland has sweet controls too, just wish it was in a fully fleshed out game. On rails games don't have to worry about shifting viewpoint though so you get much better accuracy with screen lock.
In games where the aiming IR is linked to the FP camera it's more difficult. FPS for instance.
Black Ops sequel? Modern Warfare 3? How many fucking COD games does one need?!
COD is Activision's Madden. Yearly sequels that are only slightly different, and the only thing that makes them worth playing is the multi-player.
Damn Ocarina is looking much better.
I wasn't interested in this game till I saw how they had improved the visuals through out the game.
Target has broken the street dates on Nintendo select titles.
Not sure yet how I feel about Ocarina 3D, it may be the push I need to both buy a 3DS and also to finally playing that game. I really miss playing a new Zelda game. Spirit Tracks was wonderful but I finished it fairly quickly. I want a sprawling epic like Twilight Princess. It's kind of weird, I wish Skyward Sword would be released already even though all the previews and screenshots of the game didn't look very interesting or enticing to me ... I guess I'm thinking any Zelda is better than no Zelda. Wish the N64 games didn't look so terrible so I could get into them on the virtuak console

Are you saying you haven't played OOT? If true and you liked Spirit tracks, Ocarina is a sprawling Twilight Princess like epic. The game field, literally the field is not as big but the dungeons and villages and all the stuff to do does rival TP.
Also N64 games look better on the VC then they did on the N64. Nintendo had younger devs make the Zelda GC bonus disc and used the code to make sharper looking N64 games on the VC. It gets rid of that blurry anti-aliasing effect the N64 had to make smoother edges. But, if you play wii on an HDTV you will be negating the effects.
I call BS
What old game do I want to see in the next gen?
I want to see console adaptations of the Golden Sun series. With the release of the disappointing GS: Dark Dawn, and with its predecessors being 8+ year-old GBA games, people really need to be shown how awesome this series is. And frankly, the chibi, blocky art style of Dark Dawn wouldn't do it justice. They need full 3D realizations. I can't imagine how great the already superb soundtrack would be on a console. *mouth waters*
I smell something fishy, the 3DS firmware update has been delayed to the day of the E3 Nintendo conference.
That would be a damn impressive launch lineup. So much so that it has to be fake.
Interesting looking cases. Somehow they don't seem to bother me as much as the usual greatest hits cases.
I was very late to the party as I didn't have an N64 at the time. I tried several times since to get into OoT but the murky N64 look just kind of made me lose interest. The furthest I got was to finish the Rock Mountain temple. Now my N64 has been stolen my only option is to play it on the VC, and no I don't have an HDTV yet so that's not a problem. I've just become weary of the game after having started it so many times and I'm not sure I have it in me to go through the slow sleepy start again.
I loved Spirit Tracks, I enjoyed it more than Phantom Hourglass though I loved that game too. But Twilight Princess is perhaps my favourite game of all time.
