http://www.smh.com.au/victoria/river-rescue-as-sex-toy-ditches-rider-20110117-19sra.html
A bizarre decision to ride an inflatable doll down a flood-swollen Yarra River blew up in a woman's face yesterday when she lost her latex playmate in a rough patch.
The incident prompted a warning from police that blow-up sex toys are "not recognised flotation devices''.
Police and a State Emergency Services crew were called to the rescue when the woman and a man, both 19, struck trouble at Warrandyte North about 4.30pm yesterday.
They were floating down the river on two inflatable dolls and had just passed the Pound Bend Tunnel when the woman lost her toy in turbulent water.
She clung to a floating tree, calling for help while the man stayed with her. Fortunately for the pair, a passer-by called triple zero while while a kayaker took life jackets to the pair. Police and the SES crew hauled the water-logged thrillseekers to safety.
But, with Queensland in the grip of a deadly emergency and 50 rescues from flood waters around Victoria in the past week, police were not amused at the pair's "stupid" actions.
''We've got people busy with rescues and to have to divert resources to that sort of thing is not ideal," said Senior Constable Wayne Wilson
''Most rescue organisations would frown on people behaving in such a manner because there are people out there who are in genuine need of assistance,'' he said.
The rescued pair were checked by ambulance officers but did not require medical attention.
''The fate of the inflatable dolls is unknown,'' said Senior Constable Wilson.

The fuck? An old-ass box of cereal that is how old? 25 years?
Wow on Silent Hill team. I hope Konami knows what they are doing.
Remember the Konami conference, they don't.
****! You're right.
First in game pics of X-Men Destiny, rememver this is not a Wii game:

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileGame is inFamous-ly ugly!
god that xmen game looks ugly i hope they fix it it nearly hurts my eyes to look at them.
and with silent hill thing its partly konami's fault trying to make a game that would beliked more in the west and losing there core fan's, but shattared memories was a really good game with a few flaws.
i have to wonder if i am the only person thats some what excited for the game new nis game Hyperdimension Neptunia
It's a little jaggy. A little without a consistent artisit core, but besides that what's wrong with it? Usual video game graphics.
My eyes!
Looks like (minus the artstyle) a good Wii game to me (with added bloom). That means it looks pretty good, if not boring. Doesn't seem very X-Meny, though.
Players race, chase, and rally their way through a brightly colored world, competing against their friends for the fastest times, entering daily races, and hunting for secrets and coins.
The game has three main modes: a surprising and fun single player adventure, a two to four player local party mode, and a new type of daily online competition, in which a new online track opens up daily to give you constant new opportunities for the top of the Leader Boards.

I didn't think it would be Sony of all companies that would open up their system enough to make this possible.
Oh well, the joke's on MS I guess.
January 18, 2011-- Valve, creators of best-selling game franchises (such as Half-Life and Counter-Strike) and leading technologies (such as Steam and Source), today announced the Steam features shipping with the PlayStation 3 (PS3) version of Portal 2.
Marking the debut of Steam functioning on any next generation console, the features shipping in the PS3 version of Portal 2 include cross platform play (PC/Mac vs. PS3) for multiplayer games, persistent cloud-based storage of PS3 saved games, and cross platform chat (PC/Mac and PS3).
In addition, those who purchase Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 may unlock a Steam Play (PC & Mac) copy of Portal 2 at no additional cost by linking their PSN and Steam accounts.
"We made a promise to gamers at E3 that Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3 would be the best console version of the product," said Gabe Newell, co-founder and president of Valve. "Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases."
"We designed the Portal 2 PS3 experience to be very straightforward for gamers," said Josh Weier, project lead on Portal 2 at Valve. "PS3 gamers will be able to simply drop the Blu-Ray disc in the PS3, link to their Steam account from inside the game, and all their Steam friends (on PC and Mac) will be visible and accessible for chat and game invites."
These features are made possible thru the use of Steam, Valve's platform for the delivery and management of games and digital content.
Portal 2 is due for release on the PlayStation 3, PC, Mac and Xbox 360 this April.

Okay, was it yesterday I went on a rant about Square and how they handle the Final Fantasy franchise these days and their f'n insane naming of games... and then today we get:
Dissidia Duodecim Prologus
EDIT: and then 5 minutes later they announce:
Final Fantasy XIII-2
EDIT: Then 10 minutes later they announce they aer changing the name from
Final Fantasy Agito XIII to Final Fantasy Type 0
....
WHAT.
WHAT THE FUCK SQUARE.
As an X-men fan I got the feeling that Slicon Knights utterly missed the point. Besides looking like ass (WTF is up with Gambbit's hair?), people enjoy licensed games because you get to play as existing characters that you love. All evidence right now suggests you're playing as new characters. What's the point of that? It's one thing to create a character in an MMO like you do in the DCU Online, but this just vexes me.
