I've seen the soundtrack on Amazon's mp3. I'm just kind of lazy to give it a shot, and I'm uncertain if my CC will work on that site.
I think I would have understood your meaning before if I had played a Banjo game. I understand now.
Now touch my groin.
It's a trap?
Does anyone think it might be a little too soon?
IGN Top Ten Biggest Gaming Disappointments of 2010
All the things we wanted to love but didn't – ranked from 10 to 1.
Everyone pile in, it's something to talk about.
I kinda agree with Kinect and Move being disappointing for the time being. Sony and Microsoft should've released a big name game for their launch, like Zelda for the Wii.
They had their Wii Sports clones. Zelda was just a way of Nintendo being able to get a proper AAA game out using the remote. It used it well, but it's sort of a cheat.
So what is your biggest disappointment of the year? I haven't played many/any of the games on IGNs list.
So my two would be Skyward Sword not coming out this year and Black Ops single player.
Did you really expect Skyward Sword to come out the year it was announced? That's not how Nintendo rolls.
It was announced a long time before, just not shown in public. It was supposed to come out this year, I think it was one of the execs who said that, Cammie maybe. But then it was delayed because of the art style.
Anyhow I'm going to jump back into
simpleEpic Mickey and see if things get better.Never, ever trust Cammie.
Looking back, one disapointment for me was Bioshock 2. It did nothing special, the main villain wasn't as compelling, the animations and music weren't quite as good, and gameplay was just basic with no improvements whatsoever. It wasn't a step forward or backwards, it's just there. Multplaye just felt kind of tacked on. Everything was just too familiar and it lacked the wow factor of the original.
Bioware: Too many games released today. Gamers can't keep up.
Too many systems as well.
Played more Epic Mickey.
Gets much better.
Firstly, the manual camera is only a pain if you like to invert the axis, you can't here so you have to get used to it. That said the c-button centering works very well for the most part. In the parts where they fix the camera I have actually found it helpful, more often than not.
Yeah the reviews were right on the paint shooting out at Mickey's feet. This is because, logically you would think that where you point with the cursor, the paint should go there. In this game the paint shoots out in relation to Mickey's position in the environment and depending on the angle of the camera. It's a bit unwieldy and should have been checked by playtesting but wasn't. You can alter the camera angle to get the precise shot, but that said, I have found that if you use c-button centering it sorts the problem out and you will very rarely have problems using the automatic cameras natural angle and position - when shooting paint.
Oh and the sections you play up to the circus is just a flat tutorial, so my impressions that it wasn't a platform game were wrong, it is a platform game and has some decent stuff. It's not Mario Galaxy, but it plays like an N64 platformer with IR and obviously better visuals. If you liked Rare made N64 platformers back in the day then this will bring a smile to your face. So the game has gone up a couple of notches in my estimation, perhaps 8.3 inching ever upwards?
I also saw evidence of how doing things differently could make the game a different experience. I saved all of these creatures and because of that they all ganged up together and helped me pass a section I would have otherwise had to playthrough. Also a gremlin asked for some of my cash (e-tickets?) to do a job for me. I said no and did it myself.
Also there are quests (objectives really) and they are logged and you can do them, they are simple and mildly entertaining. There are also different ways of doing things. I jumped through a series of revolving fan blades and did what they wanted. Then later on in the level I looked back over from a panoramic view and saw something. I dissolved a wall, went up the back route and bypassed the fans by going overhead and achieved the same objective in a different way.
Also I missed finding Small Petes ship log, so there is stuff to come back to and try again.
There is potential here to explore the levels too and some non-linear design. It's not amazingly varied or open, but its nice to have options in how you deal with the obstacles in the levels.
Very disappointed in the complete and utter lack of hype and even interest in the uDraw tablet for the Wii. This is the most interesting periphreal for any system out this year and unfortunately it's being overshadowed by Kinnect and Move. That's to be expected I guess, but disappointing all the same - particularly since all the reviewers can't help but say how disappointed they've been in these two systems. uDraw does something new for consoles and does it well. And after playing with just the drawing game and Dood's Big Adventure you can see so much potential in it. It's BEGGING for a Warioware game.
Biggest disappointment (video game related) is that everyone seems to have forgotten, and no one seems to care ... that once upon a time we were told there was a Pikmin 3 in development and that we would be playing it at some point.
Remember Pikmin guys? Fuckin remember Pikmin damnit ...

Bugs, Play this
Pikmin is stupid. It sounds like Pokemon but it's not, so I hate it! It's bad... particularly if anyone likes it. You like it? Then it's bad! In my day we only liked things I liked and if I didn't like it, it sucked! I'm glad it's not out. I hope it's never out!

Yep, I got to spend about a half hour with it yesterday at a family member's house. The games for it are positioned at a younger audience and that's the only knock I can give it. But the uDraw Studio is as fun as any paintshop program I've played with, and Dood's Big Adventure is like Max and the Magic Marker but much more interesting and refined. And while I didn't play it, Pictionary was supposed to be pretty fun if you liked the board game. WOrks out better though since your whole team can see exactly what you're drawing.
So you draw on the tablet but look at the screen. How do you position your drawings then?
