They're also slowly uploading the Mickey footage I linked before.

FU.
or maybe because taletell is a halfass dev that makes halfass games
That Goldeneye footage I embedded is some of the worse they have on IGN (but the rest is not on youtube yet so I can't embed). Other levels look more interesting and open than those. This one is a little better but still not like others. Although it still all looks like COD. I just want it for the single player if it delivers. You can only do so much with deathmatch and team versus modes (especially when you make something based somewhat on reality rather than completely crazy), but single player campaigns that aren't shooting galleries like COD (although this obviously includes such sequences too, they hopefully aren't the focus in every level, just exciting story-like moments inbetween the normal gameplay) and instead incorporate objectives to tackle in any order and stealth etc aren't so common, especially when they also include the classic health system as an option. Playing like that on the harder difficulties trying to be stealthy and avoid elite guard reinforcements that kick your ass should feel pretty intense.
They now have an article about the online multiplayer too. Nice to know there's music that he disabled.

Epic Mickey looks amazing!
Epic Mickey does look good. It reminds me of Kingdom Hearts with Super Mario Galaxy.
I'm very interested to see how that game will be received, in both sales and reviews.

TOTALLY. NOT. COOL!
I HATE GS SOMETIMES...!
What will you do now?
re:gta4 -- I'm okay now. I thought I had done all the missions but there is one strain that was not lettered, it was the Ransom missions. I thought they were optional -- like the assassin missions.
Very thankful I was that this was not a glitch.
While I mulled over my fate I started Lost and Damned last night. Not a great first impression.
I just finished Sonic Chronicles, holy crap at the ending. The game ends with Sonic and company coming through a portal back to their world only to see it ruled by Robotnik, he set a trap which shoots down the ship Sonic is in. The game then ends with a conversation between Sonic and Tails where they talk about how crappy the ending is. The literally say something like "well that is a bad way to end the game", sonic says they will need to wait for the next episode to see what happens. Tails then tells Sonic about the BIoware team that made the game and he reads off the credits.
WTF. What sequel, there is no sequel. Boo.
freaking GS is full of fanboys and mods that are pussy whiped by them, i swear i could report for someone saying" wii is cool" and call them offending non wii players and get away with it
What.
EA shifts NBA Elite to Tiburon (the Madden studio). It must have been abysmal.
Also, massive layoffs at EA, 100 now, global cuts coming (story above). I would not want to be in the game dev business these days.
Thx for the GE footage Agnates. Looks good.
I just completed COD4 for the 2nd time. Playing straight after WaW it lets me appreciate COD4 much better, it's now IMO above WaW. Although there are some really special bullshit moments, stringent and forced linearity, as well as pointless and crappy sections like the final on rails getaway.
Played more Anno Wii. Had my first economic collapse. I needed to make a weaving place for clothes, but I didn't have the cash. Then the peasents stopped paying their taxes because they were cold without clothing so I couldn't get the cash to make the weaving mill to satisfy them. Catch 22 situation.
Thankfully the game gave me a free loan. It's a really pleasent and fun title to play, the way you stamp down buildings or control the ship - it's just aching to be played in a cheery way. It also helps you out every step of the way but there is a lot of depth behind everything. Thanks to the characters and logbook you are never left lost as to what to do next. The controls are really awesome here, someone should definetly copy this and make a Them Park game or an Actraiser game.
So I boot up the 360 and get the quarter ring - red ring of death. With warnings in multiple languages, some E28 error? Second 360 down - ER - stat. Well after a reboot it worked.
Then I'm a little backlogged on the 360 so I put in the game I assumed would be the easiest to get back into and complete: cel-shaded Prince of Persia.
25 minutes in and I remembered why I had stopped playing. I almost threw the disc out of the window in disgust.
This game is nothing but a piece of crap.
A piece of crap.
It emits a foul unpleasent odour.
It emits a fould unpleasent odour.
I loathe it
I loathe you.
Good riddance Prince of lameness. Ah, now I can play Bayonetta for the first time
Almost an hour later
All I could think of as impressions were "What the f***? Ummmm........ okay."
So far it's pretty crappy because for every 20 minute cutscene, they give me two minutes of gameplay. Now I'm well aware that this game will get better, but the introduction is pretty awful. The cutscenes are nonscensical, weird and not cool. I feel like I'm in an arcade hall in the mid-nineties watching some random cutscene for an arcade game.
It's just not cool either, this is coming off of No More Heroes where there is much weirdness but it's always killer cool, with memorable lines or directorial pieces and shots, clothes and music. This is crass in comparison. The little bits of combat I've managed all seem like button mashing and the chaaracter pulling off awesome moves without me doing much of anything.
But like I said, I'm pretty sure I'm not even at the first proper level yet, I just emerged in a train station which I assume is the first proper level and I hope things settle down a bit and are not interupted by those annoying, overlong cutscenes. I've never played a DMC game so I had no idea what to expect, my closest idea would be that it might be somewhat like Ninja Gaiden. So far it feels less precise and there is a lot of shit happening on screen at the same time which makes it hard to focus sometimes, the RB as lock on is annoying too.
Guys check this.
A UK electronics chain has got Star Wars commercials.
So did you finish PoP 4 or just give up on it for good?
I set up the Wii on the TV again last night and packed the PS3. We'll see how this goes. For the time being I can't decide what to play really. So many unfinished, barely started and not-even-started games
Think I have to do SMG2. I'm about 65 stars in and this was from back in June when I started it.
I have Bayonetta as well, bought it ages ago but I was very put off when I found out the PS3 version was another shoddy port. I think vader said he didn't notice anything bad about it though, so maybe it's ok

I will never play POP 4 again. And right now I think I will never buy another POP game, ever. Why do you have to pack away one system?
