Looks fantastic. Which is lucky, because that's the most important aspect of Sonic.
Is the Sonic 2 fan remake legal? I mean won't Sega try to shut it down or anything?
It looks good but that seems like a lot of work that'll never be distributed or released for the public.

Nope. The deal with intellectual property is this. Yuji Naka had a unique human experience, as we all do, which culminated in him coming up with a blue hedgehog that can run fast and has an attitude. SEGA was his employer and encouraged him in this effort. They obtained trademarks for the likeness of Naka's creation. The creation and protection of Sonic cost a lot of effort and money, and as such the people who created him deserve any profit that is generated from the use of their creation. They can also prevent the loss of income from competing, non-licensed products that use their creation.
In some cases, companies allow the use of trademarked material as a marketing call, in most they shut it down.
I suspect that they person involved with creating the remake did it more for the challenge than for any other reason, and will enjoy to notoriety of having done it at all, and shut down or not, this will work its way through the seedy sewers of the web to anyone who wants a copy of it.
Satire is protected as a component of free speech, so if they had made it different enough that they were satirizing Sonic, they'd be just fine. I have not seen the material, so I don't know if it would be covered under this or not.
I usually delete duplicate stories, but out of respect to Homer I let it go this time. You can delete it if you want.
Rangers lost to the Yankees. They were up 5-1 but choked in the 8th inning.

I was hoping to watch that game when it got replayed down here. SPOILER. I forgive you. BARELY. But I do forgive you.
Sorry Aspro, I didn't know you were planning to watch it later.
Very sorry about that.
I'll be more careful next time.

Some more high res screens of Icewind Dale. I think it will be one of my favorites. And a screen in the res I play at:
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

oh man how can you watch a sporting event when it's already happened? it's not ASK's fault you're weird that way
___
Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
So I got an awesome bag of phat loot that can be used once a day to spawn a random item in my inventory:
And this is what it spawned for me today:
Sweet?!
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

I know, I feel strange.
This game is so weird, its Bioware's take on the JRPG. Its got slow turn based battles, they do somethings with the touch screen but it might be more annoying than anything else. The story is freaking me out, this game swims in the sonic mythos, every shitty friend is accounted for, every crazy storyline for the games are some how put in a timeline so its like one epic story. The dialogue choices only lead to a new conversation, I doubt you can change the story in any meaningful way.
What it still has is the deep menus and equipment management of other bioware games. Also its tough, I already got beat up in one fight for not using the right power moves and stuff. Its very odd but intruging at the same time.
Sonic 4 review is up.
We have new numbers, Metroid is in:
The Top 10 sellers (in order, publisher and platform in parentheses):
01. Halo: Reach (Microsoft, Xbox 360) - 3.3 Million
02. Madden NFL 11 (Electronic Arts, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, Wii, PSP) - Over 477k for sure, perhaps up to 550k-600k-ish (we lack the September 2009 Wii/PS2/PSP numbers to fully calculate from)
New! 03. Dead Rising 2 (Capcom, Xbox 360, PS3, PC) - 370,000
04. NHL 11 (EA, Xbox 360, PS3)
05. FIFA Soccer 11 (EA, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Nintendo DS)
New! 06. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep (Square Enix, PSP) - 225,000
07. Mafia II (Take 2 Interactive, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
08. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (Activision Blizzard, PS3, 360, NDS, Wii)
New! 09. Metroid: Other M (Nintendo, Wii) - 173,000
10. Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Activision Blizzard, Xbox 360, PS3, PC)
DR2 did not do so well, split that in half and that is only about 160k per console (PC sells nothing). It will go past 500k but not much further. I wonder what the first game sold.
Other M is almost half of what MP3 sold... well we will never get a Metroid like that again... good.

Ngamer used to be N64 magazine, and in your own words, they are not to be trusted because they gave Shadowman a 93%. Nice try, but you fail again.
Super Sonic Galaxy > Super Mario Galaxy
Oh yes I am sure they are the same people from 10 years ago... You Fail.
Sonic Colors is from Dimps, so it's definitely going to be better and more creative than the current Sonic Team.
It's also kind of funny noting that the daytime levels in Sonic Unleashed were done by Dimps and the werehog night stuff was done by...well, that other team!
It's like the werehog was Sonic Team's idea and they panicked when making the daytime levels. So they asked Dimps to do it...while they went on to develop...Sonic and the Black Knight!
I think seeing Sonic Colors and Sonic the Hedghog 4 being both by Dimps, I think Sega has lost all faith in Sonic Team. I think they made too many bad Sonic games while Dimps made the good ones in recent years like Sonic Rush.
