Good luck with that. I guess you can still enjoy it but it would work better if you played the original. The second is better though, lot more to do and they cut out most of the crappy stuff from part 1.
Some more Darksiders screens. I quite like it. Zelda pacing with how combat vs exploration & puzzles are divided (even using similar items, such as a boomerang-like blade that transfers fire or other properties from one lock on to the next), with Devil May Cry combat (using souls to buy upgrades or all new skills and consumables, though some bosses are also more like Zelda as you use certain items to cause a particular reaction that allows you to damage them) and some God of War gore (bloody finishers with your character chopping limbs off and impaling enemies, most impressive for bosses). There's a bit of Castlevania or Soul Reaver likeness depending on the area and some of the skills, like the gliding, and even a dodgy Panzer Dragoon type rail shooter sequence.

That Dog Whisperer guy, Cesar Milan is pretty awesome.
You have like a dog that is jumping around knocking its owner over. And Cesar comes in and makes the dog his bitch in 5 seconds flat. Maybe we can use him to cure Vader's Sonic syndrome?
I haven't played Darksiders, will probably get it at hobo price. I've seen screens though, am I mistaken or are those PC screens missing some lighting effects from the console version?
It's possible, but I don't know. The PC port is dodgy, it has practically no options whatsoever, just resolution and vsync. It runs well though.I think it has some weird post processing that makes the colors muted and not so vibrant but I'm not sure, PR shots on the steam store page look the same really, so, no clue.

I tried to play on harder difficulty levels whenever I could --BUT-- what you may not know: There are some pins that are available by beating noise --ONLY-- on Easy, Medium or Hard difficulty settings... Feel free to adjust away! As (I think) you said on the podcast, this is a game you can really tailor to be your own. If you want to get all the pins, play on easy sometimes. If you don't care about getting all the pins, don't!
I guess this finally answers the mystery of Kirby's sex... Damn, Kirb! My man!
Some of the comments from the Kotaku Readers are priceless!
I'm a fan of the actual birds (I've saved two of their lives), so I'm for the Magpies. Good game, and I love that they have to come back next week, THAT is a manly way of solving a tie. It's good for everyone, the fans, the city, the athletes get another chapter in their books down the line.
That's a very structured play list. Very interesting. By contrast, I'm like a Jackson Pollack painting this year:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AiwLeSNbF-VfdHRmQlBTLWxWVTQ3VGdwQWM2SzhPMlE&hl=en&authkey=CN33mPMM
The athletes and fans looked pretty upset about it. Are you saying AFL players and fans aren't manly? Agreed.
How is Darksiders anyway?
Is really a Zelda clone? Or just an action game with some dungeons thrown in?
One of the site's forefathers.
Play fighting games!
It actually is pretty good! Zelda like adventure with God of War style combat. Overall solid, fun game! If you can find my topic in Gaming Discussion, I was ranting and raving about it earler this year!
How far am I, I just beat Tiamat and returned the heart to Samael or whoever, now I'm at the area you can swim around a little, repeating the dumb "go in shadow realm portals and do challenges to lift the giant's curse" thing, I hope it doesn't have another one of those later, it's like those optional DMC4 challenges, but not optional..
