 I loved both games, but there's a ton of people who didn't like the first one much yet LOVE the 2nd game, which I can understand....it had problems but to me was like one of those flawed masterpieces like Shenmue, so I was able to look past them.

AC1 does get better when you get further in, but never comes close to the greatness of AC2. The games do tie into each other but if you really don't want to play the first game its still possible to follow the story and get into the 2nd game.

 What I don't get is why IO Interactive insist on sticking with this series. Its pretty much the worst franchise they've made, both games have gotten mediocre reviews...but they keep making them!  I'd say go for it, but don't bother too much with things like climbing all viewpoints, rescuing all citizens, and whatnot, because boredom will kill you. Do the BARE MINIMUM to tackle the assassination and move on. Inbetween killings, hop around cities enjoying the sights and sounds. 

You'll still get the important bits of the plot, will enjoy the great musical score and attention to detail in architecture, while avoiding being burned out with inane repetition.

Oh and Pachter predicted this, or should I say gave them the damn idea. Pachter needs to be stopped, he will continue his crusade to make all online games and services cost more.

I don't called 'em Micro$uck for nothin'.  This price increase doesn't bother me in the least, though. I don't pay for XBL, or any other online service, and I never will, so they can charge $100, $200, $500 per year, and I still would not blink an eye.

 Corruption blows Echoes away. But the different looking suits in Echoes was genius. They should have done the same with Samus's arm-cannons....make each totally different.
