Thoughts on Gearbox doing Duke Nukem Forever?
This is almost surreal to me....I mean this game was listed as a fucking GAMECUBE launch game at one time. That's insane.

I only played the PC demo. I tried playing the Saturn version and wasn't taken by it -- so I'm not really all that interested in DNF (
-- that's race talk for Did Not Finish).
I'll get DNF, but really if you want to see what Duke would have been like (with a lot of humor) try Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. It's funny, but broken.
^^ I'm definitely going to pick up Duke Nukem Forever just because of all the crazy things that game went through all these years!
Can't believe it's been in development for over 13 years!

I'm so getting Bit.Trip.Fate! It's a side scrolling shmup! With free aiming! On rails! Lol, win! It looks so hard. Though, I wonder if they'll maybe do a budget retail release with all the games together after the final one (which is next).

WRONG! The "Golden Age of gaming" was the Atari 2600 era. Jeesh, he's old enough to know that!
Went to my local Best Buy tonight (for the first time in months), and saw the Xbox 360 Slim. I wasn't too impressed with the design when I first saw it in pics/videos, but it looks pretty cool in persion.
It looks even cooler when its silver, & comes with two silver controllers and a copy of Halo: Reach.
Silver? Bleh! Amittedly, silver is better than white, but black is the only color game consoles should be! Preferably all black with woodgrain trim.
So yeah...been playing some Valkyria Chronicles 2 lately. Really great game, but good lord, they've anime'd it up to the point where I can't take the story seriously.
That being said, the other games I've been playing - namely Tales of Vesperia and Just Cause 2, are also pretty bloody great. Well, JC2 is - need to play more Vesperia.
Doing the "what have you been playing" thing before going to bed here...
For the whole of this week as well as some this weekend I played a few hours of Assassin's Creed. A lot of the time i'm bored near to tears from the repetition but something keeps me playing (mind you it's not the story). Like others have said the game has many glaring flaws but it does enough right to make it compelling enough to play. I'm not expecting much from the ending as i've heard it's pretty awful, at this stage I just want to finish it so I can get to the sequel for which I have great expectations.
