And the animations and controls are excellent. The shooting reminds me of Max Payne but there's a cover system instead of stunts. It all works really well together. I suppose there are some restrictions with the engine though, I couldn't get in water at the shoreline and all the pools in the city seem empty. But that's a minor drawback and the game's more story driven than something like GTA so they've done plenty for that type of game. So good.

Mafia II looks very good. I'll have to check out the demo for sure.
I think this one may turn out good, being from the developers of Battalion Wars 1&2 (And HoTD Overkill) and having possibly started out as a title not attached to a licence, a medieval take on the Battalion Wars formula, Knight Wars. If it's not just a hack and slash with set levels, but it feels like a Lord of the Zelda of sorts, as hinted by some of the things in the trailers (use diff weapons, and torches, and such) then sweet. Even if it is just a hack and slash, I see a few hints of Samurai Warriors 3-esque armies so it could still be worth playing. PS3 port too.

If Activision markets it the way they did MW2 I don't see why it wouldn't. Most of the people who bought MW2 won't know about the trevails at Activision and will just want more COD.
Again, all depends on the marketing -- they spent a shitload last time.
Nice timing on the announcement -- the day Madden launches. Smacks of narcissism and delusion to me.
I imagine that while Black Ops will most certainly sell very well it won't reach MW2 sales. Even if many may not know of the turmoils at Activision we're talking about a pool of over 10 million players so I would imagine that a couple of million of people do know, perhaps even more due to word-of-mouth at least plus I think MW2 pretty much hit critical mass so things are bound to wind down eventually.
I don't think Modern Warfare 2 was as good as the first game anyway. Still fun stuff but it didn't blow me away like MW1 did.
