Don't forget that it doesn't even have online co-op.
Ubi has been just as bad as Bamco this gen.

It's a good chess game for that price. It has selectable anime characters and themed challenge based games. Pretty fun. And the AI is good as well.
Not bad.

Yeah I thought that was retarded too.
Warning a Huge Podcast has another episode up. For more general details about the podcast you can check my blog on the topic.
This episode is really informative, going into details as to how Capcom makes their games, the death of the Wii in Japan, Xenoblade "negacam" as well as some detailed looks at various games coming from Japan.
Of, also some juicy stuff about Famitsu as well.
Here's the link.
No, I did not read the latest IGN article. I do not read any 'article' from IGN what so ever.
I suggest you do the same.
Do you have unicorns too? It's still not being consistently outsold by the PS3 unless there's some boost like the new white color or an anticipated title, and tends to have the same amount or more titles in the top ten every week. Of the last 6 Media Create Sales weeks (ie, July & August), the Wii is outsold the last two. It will change. Unless they're basically talking about the death of home consoles in Japan? That could almost work. Almost.
New Metroid: Other M trailer from GT.
Didn't they also compare Braid to Mario and Splosion Man to Mario? It must have worked out for hits then.
The optimist proclaims we live in the best of all possible worlds
while the pessimist fears this is true.

You should listen to their podcast for the context, it's quite interesting. I won't go into detail, because it's pointless communicating with you. You just seem to want to be rude.
I don't want to reward them with the page view -- who wrote it?
You can't spell ignorant without IGN.
Good advice. But the article's title was so stupid, it just had to be read just to see how stupid it was.
Yup. Bunch of idiots. They actually said Splosion-Man was better than the Super Mario Bros. series I was like, what the hell?
Some dude that I never heard of. Probably a volunteer, intern, or some random editor who writes reviews for movies or the iPhone.
---------------
Limbo is a great game, but comparing it Super Mario Bros. and bashing Mario the way they did is asinine. It's like saying Puzzle Quest is superior to the original Tetris because it added RPG elements to the puzzle genre or Lumines is better than Tetris because it has cool modern techno music while you're solving puzzles.
That Limbo article was actually criticizing Super Mario Galaxy 2 to Limbo. Can you believe that?
It's like the guy who wrote that article proudly boasting, "Hey look at me! This is where all my $70,000 of education money went toward my Literature degree so I could write this article about how Limbo and Super Mario Galaxy 2 taught me about love and the meaning of life!"
Ridiculous!

Yeah. And I flew right into it! And I think that guy who wrote it put in a small spoiler for people who haven't even played Limbo yet.
Amateur.

Don't sweat it, everyone walks into an obvious trap at least once in their lives. Just ask Fedor
I read that Super Mario/Limbo comparison yesterday. Two paragraphs in I was reminded what an old college profressor once told me, "if you talk over everyone's head you'll convince them you're brilliant, even if you've got nothing to say."
I understood every, single word this guy had to say.
He seems like the kind of guy who's definition of having fun is defining what he finds to be fun, over-thinking and over-explaining to the point where he NEVER actually HAS any fun.
There's the overly-cerebral, monotonous philosophers who believe black and white = art...
...then there's the rest of us who love color, care-free adventures and PLAYING for the sake of playing.
It's funny that this guy starts his article pondering children lost in Limbo. Seems his childhood was lost there too.
I'm not knocking Limbo in the least; I'd actually like to play the game, but tedious, attention-whores like that Mr. Thomsen seem to like to suck all the color out of life...
...hey! another reason why the game probably resonates with him...!
...and having his opinion published on one of the two big gaming websites is an affront to anyone who loves the hobby and has grown up with it since the start.
"Grow up already?" I think SOMEONE needs to learn how to be a child again!
That was my point here. For those who read it and understand it there's not much to be impressed by.
He dressed up the now classic and more or less ridiculous arguement of "Mario games are bad because there is no story" with more cerebral spin. If you look at the most of the positive comments about the article they were left by readers who probably didn't understand what was written. The positive comments talk about how wonderfully it was written, rather than what was written. They talk about how gaming needs more articles like this to be taken serious (another huge pet peeve of mine is people who insist gaming needs to be taken seriously, but that's for another time), rather than agreeing and expanding upon the point.
And frankly grammar and vocabulary aside I didn't think it was that well written. It's redundant and stretched out way too long in making its' point. Kind of like a kid who wrote a paper that had to be 1,000 words long, but only came up with 750 words and now has to figure out how to expand. Not to mention he's comparing a demo of an unreleaed game to a full series that's already been picked apart by critics for years. Quite a challenge there.
I'd be very curious to see what our resident English professor thinks about it actually.
