THQ has a "very, very innovative" Wii game under wraps which it believes could represent a "significant step forward" for the Nintendo console.

Details are thin on the ground, but the firm's global exec VP Ian Curran told ONM buddies CVG that the title may be shown off at Cologne's Gamescom next month.

"There's something else that we're going to reveal later on in the year that wasn't at E3, which is just very, very innovative," he said. "There are very few people who know about it at the moment. It's not another Kinect thing - it's to do with the Wii.

"People are talking about Kinect and Move at the moment, understandably - but if we'd have had this at E3, people would have been talking about this as a significant step forward for the Wii as well. Maybe [we'll show it at] Gamescom."

GoldenEye 007 executive producer Julian Widdows has embellished on the reasons why Eurocom's remake of the Bond classic has been tagged with Wii exclusivity.

Widdows reiterated the 'nostalgia' angle that senior producer Brian Pass gave journalists last month, telling CVG that since the original GoldenEye was on N64, Nintendo's Wii feels like the mother platform.

He went on to say, however, that Eurocom also wanted to push what it felt was an underrated console.

"I think Eurocom also have something to prove," said Widdows. "That [Wii] is a perhaps sometimes underrated and underused piece of hardware."

"They're pushing it incredibly hard, I mean the graphics are phenomenal and their production values, both cinematic and facial animation production values, the destructibility is incredible for the platform."

Activision is certainly proud of how GoldenEye 007 is coming along, having specifed the recreated tank level as particularly 'epic'.

Where the Oracle games fit in is anybody's guess

Actually Zelda had a clear timeline even after Oot and MM was released. Then Capcom happened and then Nintendo made WW. Now it is confusing as hell. Still better than the Mario time line though.

Metroid time line

Zero Missions => Prime => Prime Hunters => Prime 2 => Prime 3 => Metroid 2 => Super Metroid => Other M => Fusion

You said exactly what I said except you added crazy timeline theories which I won't do.  

 All these time lines are proven in the games and by the makers, they are true. Putting them all 4 together is a whole different matter. Nintendo probably has something, but it probably changes with each new Zelda game.

Honda totaled. Kids with seat-belt burn, nicks, bruises and bumps, traumatized but generally OK.

Sister is in the hospital still in ER; been given morphine, in a neck brace, can't breathe; most likely with broken-ribs, hopefully not a punctured lung.

I'm at my other sister's apartment on Long Island, resting, waiting for news, about to go to my other sister's house to watch the kids.
