I think I've said it before. MS and Sony are in risk of pricing themselves out of that coveted mass market slice. $150 on top of a $199-299 console (or $300 for the Kinect bundle) is still too much to ask from a segment that is a lot more conscious about pricing than the so-called "core" market.
Yeah between Playstation and PC, and next gen possibly Nintendo too, you get 95% of what Xbox has any damn way really.
Viacom chairman Sumner Redstone bribed Daily Beast reporter Peter Lauria to give up his source on a negative story Lauria wrote about Redstone last month.
Lauria, one of the leading reporters on the media beat who joined The Daily Beast from the New York Post, wrote in June that Redstone was "forcing MTV to produce a show about a sexy but talentless all-girl band" called the Electric Barbarellas.
Monday, Redstone phoned Lauria and left a message offering money and protection in exchange for the name of his source.
"I know you may be reluctant...we have to have the name of the person who gave you that story," Redstone said on the message. "We're not going to kill him. We just want to talk to him. We're not going to fire him. We just want to talk to him."
Redstone appealed to Lauria by assuring him that there are "several people" who could tell him the name of the source and thus Lauria would never be found out. But he also offered money.
"You will be thoroughly protected," he said. "We're not going to hurt this guy. We want to sit him down and find out why he did....You will not in any way be revealed....We want you to please give us the name and you will be well-rewarded and well-protected."
I'll mention Sleater-Kinney as the first one that comes to mind as being not sexy but talented.

Yup, crappy pricing. But the new arcade unit sounds awesome. $200 you get 4G, wireless access, perfect for me.
It's very attractive. I would consider it if it weren't for the fact that HDDs from the old fat 360s aren't compatible with the new ones.
*sigh*
If I didn't love gaming so much I would just say "fuck this shit" and bail out forever.
The final team had me and sergeants Steel, GG, Iga, and Yoda. The rest were new members Homer, ASK, Aspro, and Zelda, plus a cool floating tank. The first part of the final mission was to land on the surface of mars and find the platform down to the alien base. I saw it nearby our spaceship so I decided to run everyone as fast as possible into that platform, only shooting what is in our way. It was working well except the aliens did the mind take over crap and my character was taken over, the captain was an alien. Well it was too late, we all made it into the elevator except me who was alien controlled, so we left me behind.
Down in the base we split up looking for the mother brain. The area was filled with all types of aliens especially the hooded ones who do mind control. Within a few turns Iga was turned evil, followed by ASK. ASK killed Iga and started to hunt around for team members. We did well cause I sent those homing missles all over the place, hoping it would blow up some aliens. I lost ASK almost the entire match he was just an alien puppet, he almost killed Zelda. I finally found the entrance to the brain, and I sent a homing missle in, that took out almost all the aliens inside guarding it. Homer went up to scout, killed the last surviving hooded alien. In the back of the room there was the giant pulsating blob that was the brain. Yoda shot a homing missile it traveled up into the room, around Homer and right into the brain. Mission over, Earth saved.
Plus HDMI. That was why I got a new old-style arcade.
That girl group Dead Can Dance are pretty good at what they do....but yeah there's not really any girl groups that I can take serious. Even some bands I really like that have girl members, like Arch Enemy....I mean they were better without the chick singer.
GS wrote, "The buggy visuals and gameplay glitches can't quite live up to the excellent action" (they gave it a 9, so they still loved it), but I don;t know what they are talking about. I'm probably 3 hours from ending this game and I've seen no glitches whatsoever.
Glitches may have been fixed in a patch since then.
Maybe, but I don;t think my PS3 gets on the internet. Glitches are just that though right? I find them in games all the time and they aren't in the review, so maybe I'm lucking out.
Must be way better given that my 8.5 for Arkham was a generous score.
