Glad to hear there are no serious injuries (as per the latter post). Hope you're all doing okay.
Well Eurocom did 1 really well made Goldeneye ripoff on the N64, The World Is Not Enough....which was much better than the PS1 version. But yeah, still not even close to Goldeneye. Then they made another on the PS2/Cube/Xbox; Nightfire...which I didn't like at all.
Honestly, Goldeneye is such a big name in gaming that I'm shocked Activision didn't have one of the best shooter teams out there do the game, instead of relying on Eurocom. I think it'll end up being a well made game...but nothing incredible like the Rare game was. Whereas if they would have had someone like Infinity Ward or Bungie do the game, I think it could have been amazing, I KNOW it could have been amazing. Much like Mikami's RE1 remake was.
The right team could have made it as relevent NOW, as it was in 1997. I don't think Eurocom can do it.
That's the best looking Xbox bundle MS has ever made.
Hell yes, Jack Sparrow is back and without Bloom.
This looks fun!

What? Another one?
Disney maybe milking it but I'm sure it'll still be fun as long as Depp is in the leading role again.

Not me. I dislike water racing games with a passion. And hate segments like these in otherwise fine games, such as the lame jet ski part of Uncharted, or the horrendous ray surfing bits in Galaxy. So you can be excited for the both of us.
To each his own.
But it looks like I'll be excited for all of us here at The VG Press since I think I'm the only one looking forward to it!
I think Archie will get it though!

And rightfully so.
Oh no, clouds!!!
Seriously nothing is happening. Thanks for the concern though.
It's pretty mild, isn't it? I was more worried about lots of rain and shit.
In my neighborhood it has not rained once today. This is the shittiest tropical storm of all time. Which is fine by me.
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
Single player footage at 1:30. Kinda impressed with some of the stuff. Stealth still in (at least outside scripted set pieces like the truck chase sequence they get to after the beginning), nice melee takedowns, the destructible cover looks well done too. The only thing that was meh was how dead enemies disappear within seconds like in the original. Who knows if the full game will hold up in terms of levels, variety, etc, but this is promising stuff imo.
There's also a new multiplayer map seen here. The visuals look really clean for 4 way split, and the map seems nicely sized. There are frame rate issues, but mostly in the beginning. The players sucked despite classic controls.
It looks pretty great, though the kiddification of the characters seems completely pointless and dumb (then again the story -- yes, I know, we can't actually see it in this video -- gives me the vibe of some teen team action heroes TV shows or something, so maybe they actually plan to launch something like that on TV?). Also, they show a bit of non-vehicle gameplay but with how little of it they show the bulk of the game is still probably the racing/combat racing bits so I'm not sure people would buy this over more established titles like, er, Mario Kart (since it's also arcady and has battle modes). Nicely made though, I particularly liked the bike's first person view and the non combat racing bits, stylish stuff. If it had a Trackmania-like level editor it would be a possible buy, now I'll try it.

Goldeneye is definitely the best looking product I've ever seen from Eurocom. I just hope the whole game is high quality.
