If you go here there are mario galaxy 2 soundtrack samples. It's youtube but it isn't video with spoilers.
This is my favourite track.
IGN Mario Galaxy 2 review:
"The designers passionately embrace Mario's old-school legacy with 2D-style platforming that makes New Super Mario Bros. Wii look like a third-party budget title. The game will shift from a 3D, go anywhere design to forced 2D side-scrolliing and back again, on the fly and with a completely natural camera. "
How do you feel about this?
EDIT:
Harris gave it a 10 in every category?
Big and bold, with a progression that's been tightened up and streamlined. This is Mario at its core, and one of the best, if not the best, Nintendo has to offer.
A testament to the amazing game engine from 2007: it still looks fantastic and beautiful.
A much stronger saturation of "big band" tunes here, and that's just awesome.
This is the absolute pinnacle of Mario gameplay: everything that makes a Mario game so incredibly fun is represented here. Both in 2D and 3D.
If you just want to get to Bowser you'll be done in a few hours. But if you want to strut your gaming skills you'll be playing this one for weeks.
In all the Mario Galaxy 2 hype, you might have missed this announcement.
Paramount making new Top Gun game Hiiiiiighway toooo theeee Dangerzone.
Yeah, it's going to be a game.
Paramount has announced a new Top Gun game for PC, PS3 and Mac.
There's no explanation for the lack of an Xbox 360 version.
The game's due out this summer and features arcade aerial combat. There's multiplayer for up to 16 people, plus a beefy, "all-new" story written by none other than Top Gun screenwriter Jack Epps Jr.
Let's see what lines he comes up with this time.
Top Gun will have seven gameplay modes: two single-player and five multiplayer. In the campaign, you are Maverick and you'll graduate from the Top Gun academy and then serve over the Indian Ocean.
I think Microsoft objected to the volleyball minigame, as it might upset the userbase.
LMAO. Foolz I raise your Yatta with this.
So Virtual on is the 360 action game from SEGA. I remember playing this in the arcades.
These are like DC graphics minus the anti-aliasing.
Seriously, this game looks amazing. Just like Galaxy 1, much of this game looks great even when compared to the average 360 title, only they’ve improved the graphics even more. Sure, if you were actively and exhaustively searching for some flaw you could point at and whine, “this texture doesn’t look next-gen,” then fine, you win. But Galaxy 2 so fully understands how to get the most out of aging technology that nearly all graphical flaws are smoothed over or covered up, leaving you with Wii’s best-looking title to date.
The soundtrack also ramps up from the previous game’s excellence. Not only is the music all orchestral, giving a real epic and grandiose feel to new and returning tracks alike, but when it remixes classic melodies from Super Mario 64 or Sunshine, they’re given new impact and gravitas. Like all game soundtracks should, this further enhanced a superb experience, even for a reviewer who normally doesn’t notice background music all that much.
I just read that article about Sony and the PSP. Do you think the next version of the PSP is going to carry all the stigma that the current one now carries? It got off to a great start 5 years ago, but it didn't take too long before piracy and a few hardware issues created enough problems that it gained it's "paperweight" description. And most people haven't really spoken too highly of it for quite a while.
I know I've spoken very highly of it for the past few months, but that's mainly as a secondary system that's inexpensive with inexpensive games. Lots of great stuff, but I honestly never would have bought anything for it at full price. I just wonder if after the reputation that the PSP eventually gained and then followed by the underwhelming reception to the PSPgo, how much of an uphill battle does Sony have with the PSP2?
