Gamespy review Final Fantasy 13
4.5/5 - Thank goodness for the battle system, then, because it saves the game while you're wincing through the saccharine banter and waiting for the training wheels to spin off.

It's not quite as focused as GOW1, nor is it as lengthy and moment-packed as GOW2, but it's the most consistent.

Oooh Robiooooo...
BOO!
I am this close to sacrificing a chicken to complete a voo-doo spell that will leave as your penis as limp and flacid as Steel's after a weekend of banging fat chicks.
PLEASE LEO, SHUT THE FUCK UP. I DON'T WANT TO DIE!!
Hmmm... These symptoms sound veeery familiar...
Question is: What has GG even done to piss you off?
He learned that spell from me and you all know my issues with the brick builder that build England.
More on Infinite Space:
This game is giving me a Skies of Arcadia vibe for some reason. I know it was only published by Sega, but I wonder if any of those old dev's migrated there.

Really funny:
Sometimes, after discovering some celestial events or bodies, answering a conversation question a certain way or defeating particular enemies, your Fame increases.
The abbreviation for Fame Points is "Faps."
If fame was ACTUALLY measured in Faps, we would be the most famous site on the web!
“Initially people were wondering why this [new gaming phenomenon] was happening. Well, customers are not into high-performance graphics anymore, and that’s because they can find them intimidating. ...If they (game devs) think that they’ll continue to have a hold over customers, asking them to pay a high fee upfront to buy a game, even if that game adopts a lot of modern features like downloadable content and network play, they’re going to be addressing a fairly-isolated audience." - Trip Hawkins, Digital Chocolate founder
Looks good, imo. Some of the environments were bland and made me think it's way below the screenshots but others are spot on. Seeing it in full 60 fps should make it look better too, like RS2. Promising, for now. Definitely a cheap looking production though, kind of a shame for its potential.

...or the fap reference...
Oh wait. Hamster is online. Just answered my own question.
To be honest, I think the original Sands of Time looked better on Gamecube. I never liked this grittier PoP style.
He's roughly talking about Wii Graduates right? How to convert the new gamers into long term gamers?
I don't know if he is completely wrong, though I do wonder what he is talking about with realistic graphics. I think most new gamers would be impressed with the look of Heavy Rain, that it would be easy for them to adopt something that looks closer to what they are used to looking at (TV/ Movies).
Converting JP gamers to the west:
Wow, stupidity is running rampant across the industry now.

It's like the music industry 10 years ago. Groupthink is one hell of an interesting phenomenon.
Awww... Don't cry! I'll get you one for Christmas!
-wiping tears- Thank you Leo. I'll start ordering the purple velvet and Jacuzzis.
Trip Hawkins has been spouting nonsense for as long as I can remember.....outlasting nonsense-spewers of epicness like Yamauchi and Stollar by a decade.
The notion of people being turned OFF by good looking games is complete bullshit. Casuals love great looking graphics, they just can't grasp complicated gameplay...usually because they don't have the time for it.
