It's true!
Has that reverse-engineering company ever figured out what the components of the Wii cost? (I'll look it up).
I think that price is pure speculation on his part, but I'm sure the Wii doesn't cost much to make. I'd guess around $100 per unit.

I was hosting a party this weekend, that became one of the biggest pains in the asses I've experienced and made me so bitter that if I never see any of my friends again I won't complain. So as a result I didn't get much gaming in. I played a little bit of Rabbids Go Home, but mainly to show off the "Rabbid Trapped in the WiiMote" feature that managed to entertain a dozen drunken guests. I also failed in trying to explain how to play New Super Mario Bros Wii to someone. How the hell can you not figure out that game??
So not much gaming for me. Mainly cooking, decorating, and trying to get mooching guests to go the hell home. I hate the world right. Let me tell you, Dark Robio is just itching to come out and take it out on someone.
I'm glad to hear that the stuff that happened have gotten resolved...well, it seems like everything is okay. I had no idea all that happened. I was so busy with the holiday week with other things I was out of the loop for awhile.
Yeah, this site is great! Hate to see a cool thing end. We don't have to deal with turds on the internet when we discuss here. I can truly be myself without dealing with annoying trolls and dumb mods modding me for even the slightest misstep.
Well, with that said here's what I've been playing lately:
Call of Juarez Bound in Blood
Great overlooked game! I got it for $20 during Black Friday and it's pretty cool! The devs did a good job in making Civil War battles engaging. The trick was to make the battles less historical but more modernized. It felt like I was playing Call of Duty but during the Civil War!
That's about it for now. I don't think I'm playing anything else for the moment.
Also, Torchlight is $5 again. Last day to pick up this gem!

Now Playing: Golden Sun Dark Dawn, God of War Ghost of Sparta, and DKC Returns
I hosted a party recently. I survived by being in charge of the kids, so between backyard cricket (that is not a euphemism) and the video games, my faith in humanity was retained.
Speaking for myself, I appreciate you being here ASK. Yeah it turned out not to be a big drama, just some organizational issues -- more details to follow -- but certainly all of the good things you like about the site, as mentioned above, will be the same.
Bound in Blood -- did you play the first one? I di dnot have good memories of it, though at the time I was playing it on SDTV.
Re: http://www.joystiq.com/2010/01/02/man-buys-virtual-space-station-for-330k-real-dollars/
It's reassuring to know that not all morons are poor. What an idiot.
I listened to the podcast, and it's just painful this painful almost egoistic machoism that seems to permeate with games and in particular the perception of Wii. He goes from one point in the podcast saying how he plays in a band for fun and loves The Beatles Rock Band, to when the Wii gets mentioned, saying how he doesn't want to "flail around" or "stand up to play". What kind of insane cognitive dissonance is required for this kind of stupidity?
