Eeeewwwww. . . Those are bad first reviews.
That's the one.
Ahhhh I see we've made some new changes to the GG Weekly news posts....
Alright Robio and Raven, I'm a bit more hopeful.
Playing Metroid Prime Trilogy and The Ballad of Gay Tony. I'm going on a trip to Florida in a couple of weeks and I need to get Metroid Fusion for the trip soon. After playing the Trilogy for so many weeks, I feel a need to play in the Fusion suit some more. Unfortuantely, I sold my copy years ago.
EDIT: Oops, just noticed that it's not a new week.
It is a new week. GG Weekly just doesn't start over anymore.
Oh, and FIRST!!!
I'm going to miss that. *cries*
Started The Simpsons Game on PS2.
40 minutes later started Grand Theft Auto III. Since I've never finished it I figured I'd do so. Strating from scracth, worked through about 12 missions in an hour - funny how easy the game is when you know where everything is. So that's what I'll be playing for the next 2 weeks.
Also playing Chrono Triggah.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobilePretty much just spending time with Magical Melody, but it's been broken up with a few other things.
I picked up a new power cord for the GameCube and hooked it up to the TV in the media room we have for the kids, and with it got a copy of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. So now other than Sonic Gems, I've got everything Sonic that ever showed up on the Cube (and that's virtually everything up till this gen). So they're playing those games, and every one in a while I'll join in and show them how old school represents yo!
And a friend let me borrow his copy of Nostalgia for the DS. After an hour into it I'm ready to give it back. It may as well have been called "just another RPG." Can't say I should be surprised considering the name, but it's pretty much a standard jRPG. Nothing special about it. Too soon to say that after only an hour, so I will give it a fair chance and play for a couple more to see if anything changes, but right now... yeah it's boring as hell.
Too bad I bought it. I was hoping the '20's steampunk would be enough to carry it. I await updates.
Awesome! Thanks for gifting me Life Force for the VC Yoda. Hobo Gourmet likes gifts.
I've been playing a little bit of Gears 2, some Forza 3, and a fair amount of Tekken 6.
I was sort of interested because of that too, but here's the problem. The look of Steampunk doesn't really translate well with 3-D polygons on the DS. I could imagine a beautiful Steampunk game made on an HD system, but on the DS?? Wrong choice. I will let you know how things proceed with an update tomorrow.
Yeah, Yoda gifted me one too: Boulder Dash for the C64! Many thanks, Yoda! I've been meaning to buy some C64 games for a while now, but just never got around to it, so this is an awesome surprise. I never played Boulder Dash before, but the game has interested me for a long time now (I've seen it many times on various Youtube retro videos). I just played a couple rounds, and it's a great game. Reminds me of the good old days.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobilePlenty welcome -- I pulled a comment from the database about C64 games since I didn't get much to work with in my downloadable games thread XD.
Since you guys brought it up here in GG Weekly, I'll post here my apologies to our several PAL users who I wasn't able to gift to; you weren't forgotten or left out, I just couldn't manage a workaround to region locking, even modding wouldn't have worked.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThat's right, we've got Youtube posting now. Do note that you have to repaste the embed code if you edit, or the video will disappear.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI'm really enjoying both.
Le Mans is a game I wish I would have picked up on Dreamcast back when it first hit, because its awesome. It really makes you realize how little innovation or improvements we've seen in the last 9 years of racing games. Outside of graphics and sounds, this game is easily just as good as any recent racing game. Why spend $60 on Forza 3 when I can have a better time with this? This was the Dreamcast's Gran Turismo.
Viking is a lot more fun than I expected so far. Its basically an open-world hack & slash adventure game with good tech behind it and so far, an enjoyable pace. You run around trying to free your people from demons while collecting money & loot. Bloody & fun.
I started playing this:
and this:
I am playing Bully, so much fun.
